Hi I’ m Stardrone and in this topic I will show you the how I think Universe is and why (in my opinion) Chicken invaders universe isn’t ready to “noob october”
1)WEAPONS
We all know that, and @1galbatorix1 made it clear to everyone: already existent weapons are a complete mess. While an update can fix this, Universe at its release needs to have more weapons! I can understand that balanced weapons like Vulcan can act as new weapons for old players but the only brand new weapon added is designed to be the worst!
2)BUGS
I’m surprised that in the whole EA period only one critical bug (v.10).
Good job!
3)ENEMIES and WAVES
So… universe only aded 3 new common enemies!?
This desperatly needs a “buff”
Similar thing can be applied to waves.
We need new harder and easier templates.
A lack of new content can bore [beta] and [old ci] players.
I report someone else’s idea: Weekly Challenge should have i its pool all waves and bosses already present in game to make it unique and not boring.
4)A PROPER DIFFICULTY SCALING
Right now hard=more hp and faster bullet to doge.
In my opinion harder waves should rely on harder missions and easier ones to easy missions.
This would give both an incentive to play hard missions (over key farming) and give an actual challenge to players who complain about: “SSH is too easy!”
5)MISSIONS
There are shuch suggestions over new missions types and “WhY nOt AdD fEaThEr FiElDs?”
By the way universe offer a variety of missions but one more could give more gameplay variety.
Still… I’m fine with this
6)MUSIC
New missions/boss music needs to be added.
Master squaker needs some more love!
More music variety I think is already planned (I think)
7)BOSSES
Same of normal enemies but the additions are only on special missions.
This may looks lame and lazy to old players who start playing Universe; not for brand new players.
8)BETTER TUTORIAL
Do I need to explain more?
At least a way to explain how to mount equipement on ships, how overheat works and how to upgrade weapons.
9)A REASON TO PROGRESS
This… doesn’t exist!
I think that some quests to complete each tier (and having them to complete to be promoted) may work.
Imagine:“Buy an horizon event stabilizer and find a whormole” or “We identified a huge doom macchine stop it! [Destroy 1 Egg cannon]”.
The possibilites are huge!
10)SPACESHIPS
Too few new families.
1 starting
1 for nostalgic
1 new
Before official release at least 1 more new family should get added.
By the way 5000 keys are easy to farm.
We need a true endgame ship!
11)KEYS and ECONOMY
These are kinda both good points.
Very balanced (no Thenos jokes here)
I report someone else’s idea: a perishable that works as a key-food magnet since hard missions and heavy bombers both aren’t good for farming.
12)LANGUAGES
The last update before release should contain a pack of translations to test typos.
And fix them
I don’t want things like:
“We did it
!”
As this happens in CI5 after beating ice golem in italian translation.
In my opinion there isn’t enought time to do everithing in 4 content updates (more are impossibile due to time and bug fix necessary period) without a huge programmers squad that IA doesn’t have.
