Seasonal Skin Idea: The Earth Arena would have thanksgiving skin based on Piggly’s Autumn season.
Can’t think of a good design for “Fly the Coop” unfortunately…
“New” Background Idea: Add UltraVolt backgrounds to the galactic shop. for how will the backgrounds work with environments is easy, just make the nebulas themselves change color, and background stays the same.
If this also got added and UV bgs, then it would be great to make UV be in galaxy.
The way I thought about it to add is that the nebulas will fill the galaxy then the more its zoomed out smaller nebulas vanish and larger ones aren’t all the way up until the maximum zoom out.
And about the giant amount of nebulas may lag the game, there’s a solution: Make whenever the nebulas are out of screen, they get despawned and respawn again after re-entering the screen (similar to how planets are already made)
Suggestion: Make Translation menu background change color depending on theme.

Minor Suggestion: Make “long-range” weapons (Lightning Fryer, Plasma Rifle, Positron Stream) have fade in and out animations (appearing and disappearing, shrink to center, launch as projectile)

What about making the background a whole solid single color and then the clouds afterwards?
The clouds in my idea will reuse nebula sprites without the additive blending (they’re both gases after all) and use a random color from a gradient:

Not sure how it will look as I obviously don’t have the nebulas sprites so I can’t make example images…
i disagree with LF having an animation though. lightning strikes instantly. same case with plasma. positron looks good though.
What about one Halloween?
There aren’t any halloween skins for these bosses so I didn’t bother making bullets for them.
Speaking of skins for these bosses themselves, I got some ideas:
- Super Chick gets Batman skin, similar to this one.
- Infini-Chicks get vampire clothes.
Random Idea: What about adding sleeves to normal chickens T-shirts? Something similar to the chicken icon from Steam Group:
I know this might require 50+ frames but hey, it’s possible to use one frame and then apply the wing bending animation on it and layering it behind the T-shirts.
And for colors, it can be recolored automatically depending on the t-shirt color.
Update: Added animation for comparison between normal and sleeves version, maybe this should be togglable or purchasable in Galactic store instead of making it forcable?

Minor “Bug”: In Xmas edition Burgermeister’s defeated chickens have red comb instead of yellow.
Suggestion: Prevent heightmaps/planet textures from getting down scaled in android versions, they look more pixelated there:
Suggestion: Whenever a barrier vanishes while it’s containing a key, the key will get dropped instead of vanishing with that barrier.
Noticed that “360o chickens” use the normal (CI4/CIU) chickens head instead of CI2 ones, intended?
Also noticed that the Armored chicken head in Halloween edition have different eyelid colors instead of black.
Random idea: Instead of the galaxy hub having borders, it will be scrollable past this but instead of making new star systems/planets, it will be the same galaxy, similar to scrolling in Earth maps.
Suggestion: Make cutscenes backgrounds in DLCs/Episodes changed if they were customized in mission slots.

I don’t see that hard to implement, just make the a colorable version of the helmet as separate object that:
- reuse the main head frame state
- reuses “shirt” color
- overlay it on the head.
Maybe this technique can be used to make Santa hats colorable like how they were in og CI2/3, or maybe even rabbit ears?
I was playing CIep5 today with someone locally and noticed that the 2nd player doesn’t get the Extra life sound effect (apparently it was the case in og Ci5 too), sooo I was thinking what if it was added but maybe slightly pitched up to make it a bit more distinguishable from P1 getting extra life?
Idea: Whenever a player dies or get a game over, the chickens will do a little dance to taunt the player.

The animation is just reversed frames of the second half of the image.
Forum Suggestion: what about hiring admins to the forum? This may make the new users/username changes/moderation get approved a bit faster.
As iA is both admin and developer, maybe the same can be applied to make admins in game?

If you didn’t know, iA made other games beside Chicken Invaders (e.g. Piggly, Loco, Island Wars 2, etc…). And the title says, the point of that category is discussing about these games, or even improving these games to make them more interesting (if iA accepts suggestions) or even reporting bugs.
