Did the recording get messed up in some way? In some instances, I can see the food change between the Summer skinned ones and the default ones (most noticeable at around 2:17). I also noticed that the bosses used the Summer skins by default, despite me playing without any seasonal content on. I can understand the latter happening if the recording was set to have the Summer season content active.
It looks very laggy in Immortal’s footage, like when you join your friend’s game that’s from the other side of the planet
well yes, it’s forced option from GEN
Anyone else notice that there’s no today’s scramble video has been uploaded yesterday?
It’s because of this (it also affects recordings):
I’ve added it to the “known bugs” list.
This is why.
Which part? If the player has a low framerate, this will show up in the recording as a laggy/jittery spacecraft. The rest of the wave should be smooth, however.
I mistakenly selected the publishing date to be one day later than it should.
I think missions flown with a weapon spreadsheet override are not supposed to be eligible. The embarrassing about this I’ve thought about this before, so I should’ve asked about it sooner.
It’s very obvious in the first & second wave
Oops, yeah. I’ll fix that in v.147
Fixed. Sometimes YouTube ignores the thumbnail I upload ![]()
Ah, yes. I’ll investigate.
Hmm how about uploading the competitive missions first before highlights instead?
Seem like iA got mistake about posting the video daily so many times (i think). Are you doing this by yourself?
I don’t know but… why don’t you think about asking someone else to post the videos for you? I know you have a lot of work to do, but someone knows about the youtube (or maybe someone who has a lot of experience about Youtube) may help you a lot.
He can make that process automated instead of hiring someone to manage these things (imho)
You just imagine that you have to do a lot of thing daily. The more thing you have to do, the more times mistake will be taken.
Ok, I’ve made a change that will alleviate this, but won’t eliminate it entirely.
That would be useful, but impractical. They would need access to the videos, which reside on my PC.
I believe video posting can also be automated, but you have to interface with a lot of different APIs (for each social network), so it will be a lot of boring work.
What is this mean? Can you explain this with more details?
I don’t know that after GEN made and edited the video, where is the video be exported? And the thumbnail of the video, too.
Means that every recorded footages are stored on iA’s main PC, and will be gone after uploaded.
On iA’s PC as well, because those edited videos needed to be uploaded, y’know?
You do know that Youtube will give you 3 different moments in your video that’s suitable to use as thumbnails, right?
You can use custom thumbnails too. That, might be software edited, or I guess technically made by Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) coding language in GEN.
Hmm, so the videos will be automatically exposed in a folder?
If yes, then i think iA has just made themselves harder
I thought the videos are exposed inside GEN system, iA need to take a time to download it to a folder.
iA used the custom thumbnails, for sure as you can see.
Well, in fact you can put your recorded footages inside your coding projects, too. But that’s not reliable because things will of course go wrong in the code, or unmanageable.
IIRC, iA said something related to OBS captures, so it may not be a problem for downloading the video. Beside, iA hosted a whole server, so his network is strong enough to download all at once, which you may correct about downloading records if my guess about the OBS is wrong.
I have an idea for Highlight 5 (the ones with “One against all”, “Outnumbered” etc). One more term could be added, which is “One man army”. Well, it is similar to “One against all” in a way.
