It has been a long time since Squadron was first released and not many people mention it. Currently, being in a Squadron means that:
-
The leader spends their own keys, about 1000 keys to buy a full squadron.
-
The leader flies each mission.
-
The leader assigns the mission for squadron members, who do it for a small +10% score boost that only has a tiny impact on player’s score, even less if they use harder skills for up to +200% score bonus. The leader gets extra keys (this makes sense because they are the one who buys the squadron in the first place, but squadron members still don’t get anything meaningful).
-
Squadron members have no key bonus at all and there are no key rewards for top 10 most active squadrons except for the medal for first place.
I think being a squadron member and successfully completing assigned missions deserve an overall benefit of +10% to +20% of keys for their whole career. There are two ways of doing this:
-
Squadron loyalty for keys: I don’t know if this is possible to do, but we could put the squadron loyalty bonus (for completed missions only, of course) worth about 10% to 20% of whatever the mission provides after base multiplier. That means:
-
Chicken Invasion: +300% base bonus, so squadron loyalty +80% bonus
-
Darkness: +400% base bonus, so squadron loyalty +100% bonus
-
Boss Rush: +30% base bonus, so squadron loyalty +26% bonus
-
Asteroids, Feather Fields, etc.: +0% base bonus, squadron loyalty +20% bonus, you get it.
-
And maybe have squadron loyalty based on skill used as well to give a bonus to players that play on harder skills: For example, you get 5%, 10%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 100% of the squadron loyalty bonuses stated above if you use Tourist, Rookie, Seasoned, Veteran, Virtuoso, Superstar Hero respectively.
-
-
The second way is a fixed bonus amount of keys being awarded to players via Inbox like what the squadron leader receives. But I don’t think fixed amount is a good idea because the bonus should be based on the mission itself.
