Routine maintenance release. Not much new, but it’s a necessary stepping stone on the way to the “Chicken Invaders Collection” Steam beta (and eventual Xbox release).
You can skip/warp around waves: Press SHIFT+keys 0-9, -, = to set chapter (from 1 to 12), or press 0-9 keys to set wave in chapter (from 1 to 10).
Also, you can press Ctrl+R to re-generate the current wave with a new random seed (won’t work on very first wave). Do not use this during multiplayer games, because you will desync any players connected to you. This is true even if you press Ctrl+R during some previous single-player mission. Basically, once you press Ctrl+R in any mission, then you must quit and restart the game before playing multiplayer.
You can link your existing account that you normally use. Progress on the BETA server is completely separate from the LIVE server. It’s based on a database snapshot when the previous version was released, so your progress will be rolled back slightly (when compared to your live account). And, when the new version is officially released, any progress you made on the BETA server will be lost. Additionally, any translation changes will also be lost.
Multiplayer games will work, however note that your network connectivity will not be correctly detected by the BETA server (I think it will always say “Port-restricted cone NAT”). If there is a discrepancy between detection and your actual NAT type, then you will not be able to join some multiplayer games (even if they are listed). If the discrepancy lies on the host side, then none of the guests will be able to connect.
Small issue with the Cursor not being visible now is that you cant see what planet you’re selecting when using keyboard in the galaxy map (and the help button doesnt have any highlight as well)
It isn’t that much of a bug but when I select a “galaxy hub element” it doesn’t show any thing when hovered. The same thing happens with the “help” icon.
And even after all of that my suggestions and reports in v158 aren’t replied to…
Also, I wonder what’s the reason for not including CIU into the collection. Is it because this is going to be the last update for the episodes?
For some reason, the cursor shows when navigating with keyboard in config presets slots:
That’s because you gave iA VEEERYYYY MAAAANYYY ideas during his work on Xbox, which i think Xbox is a specific platform to play the game, unlike mobile or PC.
Not all people suggested this before, but can Seasonal edition be downloadable from server, atleast for android? (Just like Dlc). It just easter being ditched away and went to summer just because of ciu update schedule.
I used alot of my brain power to fight back p2w (magnet is on top) on certain new wave, while people just didnt care for whatever reason. And i think i found a solution that i hopefully think its possible.
specifically, no food and no coin drop on limited movement wave. Here are some wave example: Claw machine, The Loom, The Seesaw, Spawn o’clock.
Can we ban wave insight for hybrid mission type? I guess i dont need an explanation for this, right?
Can I ask why, while downloading CIU version 159 on my computer, my internet connection is as slow as a turtle (versions 5, 6, 7, 8)? Can you help me get a faster internet connection now?
I have a DirectX 12 version of the game(s) running on desktop PC, and also a version that has some Xbox functionality (achievements, cloud storage, multiplayer) also for desktop PC. Recently Microsoft was finally able (after 3 months!!!) to activate my Xbox dev kits, so now I am trying to get the game working on an actual Xbox console. Sadly it appears that that the desktop and the console version of DirectX 12 is not as compatible as Microsoft would claim, so more work for me
