Let’s re-apply the same stuff but with an existing enemy “Phoenix”, we have:
2 wings
2 legs
body
head
2 hair effect spawners, each spawns around 3 objects
Which makes phoenix have 12 objects which is almost. So 5 Phoenixes make 60 objects (if the smoke effect actually use that amount, it can be even higher…), close enough but still doesn’t lag the game that much.
Enable the damage HUD indicator, play a crowded mission on a phone and reconsider (although I am not sure whether the sheer amount of rendering objects is what causes the game to drop the frame rate when HUD indicators are on).
Idea: Add a way/tip to make new players know how to chat, so whenever a new player joins a game for the first time/didn’t type any message, a small text would appear at bottom of screen saying, “Press T to chat with other players!”.
Another Idea: Whenever a player joins a mission which has a higher tier requirement than their tier, a warning would appear that the mission may be harder and try to pick an easier one.
