CIU version 141


This update replaces the “Revenge of the Yolk” episode with the full “The Next Wave” episode in CIU, directly playable from your Profile screen. This is a temporary and experimental feature, so enjoy it while you can, and report bugs here.

Bug/Idea medals will be awarded later in the day. Note that your medal cannot be awarded if your in-game callsign doesn’t match your forum name (put it in your forum profile where it says “name” so I can find it).


You will lose:

  • any mid-mission progress
  • your language selection
  • your seasonal content setting

The Persian language translation was completed in version 141.

(Christmas) I don’t know if it’s because I have hearing problems or not, but “CI2 Victory Music” has a lower volume compared to “CI2 Music 1” and “CI2 Theme”.

Is it just me or i cannot open the multiplayer?(My internet is stable btw)

Sometime the server got some issue for a short time. Try to “Back” then go back to “Multiplayer” again for refreshing.

At first I thought it was just me forgetting to actually finish up translation phrases, but now I realize that this isn’t really the case: there’s this very rare bug that cuts off translation phrases somewhere in the middle with each game update. They just so happen to cut off before the characters ‘ő’ and ‘ű’.

This time it’s the phrases QUIP_BONUS_CHARITY_1 (already fixed), KEYSCOLLECTEDHINT and TUTORIAL_MISSIONOUTCOME1 that ended abruptly. I think the first time I encountered this bug was with the phrase TUTORIAL_MISSIONOUTCOME5 about a year ago.

Bug ? I lost cooling canister by getting overheated after mission complete (during warp).

coolant canister during mission complete doesn’t count of overheat when finished might be saved on your equipments. Same as Special Weapons?


Can the “One on One” waves have pecking orders?

Mother Hen Ship (wave 40 and 70) should still keep shooting even when it’s retreating.

Is it intended that my ship only rotates only one or two degrees like shown here? Try hovering your mouse cursor over my laser scope and scroll to see that it actually deviates a bit.

I think it should rotate at least a bit more than that every time.

As for “CI2 Victory Music”, it’s there’s only a very slight leeway (less than 1dB) until the waveform starts to clip

Yes, I usually do my translations there. I haven’t seen this bug occurring after translating it via LibreOffice Calc. And I’m talking about phrases I already translated a long time ago.
