CIU version 140 BETA

The alien saucer from the pizza delivery cutscene does not make the whoosh sound when entering the view, although it did in CI3. Double checked, it was just veeery silent because of my audio settings so I didn’t notice.

ia can you add entire danger zones “Meteor storm chapter” during first wave in ci3u and classic invasion wave add down-left or right add danger zones every waves.

Did you skip to a X1 wave? (This usually awards you some stage medals that if the amount of said medals exceeds the amount of stages(in this case, 12), you get kicked)

No idea tho. CI3 back then wasn’t modernized with such feature.
I still think it’s fine to keep it in CI3U because it makes the game feel more modern.

I’d like to record the video at that cutscene before “wave 0” but now you have post here
I also see that Yolk didn’t spawn the big chicken at the cutscene before playing wave 0.

For other thing i found after playing CI3U first time:
1- You forgot to bring back the power to zero and starting with Ion Blaster 0 powers

The chickens should use the regular face (Chickenaut’s face) not the face from CI4 variant
2- The Balloon Chicken in CI3 variant can attack by spawning the eggs, just like how is it annoying in CI3 original
3- Wave 6: There was had a text “Ah, it’s obligatory asteroid wave!”
4- The amount of the treasure from “Treasure Shower” in CI3 original is more than the one in CIU variant. Also, the name of “Treasure Shower” should be “Bonus Challenge!”
5- Wave “Chicken Geometry”: Each chicken team’s appearance and moving in CI3U is different from the one from CI3 original (in original, they are faster and more suprise)
6- Wave 15 - The eggdrone: Those eggdrone can disappear by moving to the top, but i don’t receive the “Clean Sweap” bonus after destroying all eggdrones
7- Though i hate this but, can you change anything to avoid dying from wave x1? (x={0;…:11}) if the game keep the player a short distance like CI3 original, it’s very difficult to collect the item (food, coins, etc…). And if we keep a very short distance like in CIU, player can die because of the chickens behind the player in wave ‘x1’. I have just died because of that when using Neutron Gun, and this could be worse if the player use Riddler or Absolver Beam
8- “Do the chicken huddle” wave: The chickens don’t move around as a circle like in original game?
9- Why you change the name “Chicken Square Dancing” to “Right Angles”?
10- “Terminator Chicken” wave: Missing warning “They’ll stop at nothing!” text while showing the name of the wave


11- “Comet Chase” stage (first phase of stage): The background should be run faster than normal from the first wave of stage, just like CI3 Original and also CIU nowaday, too?
12- If i’m not wrong, “The chicken “wave”” wave doesn’t mark a safe zone in the original game. While of that, in CI3U have a marking safe zone
13- What was happen from 50%+ phase in wave 72?

14- Wave 99 had a small text “Last one!” in CI3 original, while i don’t see that text in CI3U
15- Wrong the chicken’s clothes in wave 115 and wave 118. They should wear the “black and white checkered stripes” clothes like other waves in stage 12.



16- “The Yolk Star!” boss (a.k.a the villain of the year)
Someone had suggested this before, but i think iA was forgotten to apply those change. So i’ll remind them again:
-Yolk will spawn chickens in 4 phases like CI3 original, not 3 phases
-In SSH, it should be 7 lasers, not 5 lasers? That’s too easy, which not true about how Yolk make you annoying.

I also get kicked out of server after frying that big omelette so i can’t see my result (i wasn’t using skip key) (i think my base score was 23M)
That’s all! Maybe i’ll have more suggestion or report about CI3U

Treasure shower/Bonus challenge is sometimes WAY too horizontal.

Aside from my annual complaints about painted UCO we might also need the copper and silver coin variants back, and maybe the blinking chickens which don’t rotate their heads.

In many waves you can catch a glimpse of enemies spawning.
e.g. Chicken Huddle:

“… let’s turn up the heat” a space that should not exist.

I think the metal textures should be redone in CI3’s style (UCOs, Yolk-Star’s ray guns), also it’s weird how regular asteroids use the CIU texture while meteors use the CI3 texture

Turns out the extra chapter of health I mentioned above only seems to apply to regular chickens and rogue missiles, but it might be worth checking the others regardless

Some bosses (UCOs, Blast from the Past, It Gets Cold In Space) received health buffs and it’s inconsistent with those that didn’t, for example UCO 2 has 116k health while the Mysterious Ship has 100k, or “Is it hot in here?” has 183k health while the clones have 160k combined

Enemies and bosses with multiple phases that would gain increasingly more health now instead have it increase linearly, it’s especially notable on Blast from the Past

Finishing CI3 without any wave skip cheats kicks you out, probably because it thinks you completed 13 stages

Chicken Harmonics and the Classic Invasion waves got their enemy counts from before the HD update, while the Egg Drone and Eggship waves are still the nerfed variants (also what happened to the second Egg Drone wave?)

A little idea: (It’s not that important, but I thought it would add some charm to series.)

I don’t know about you, but I nostalgically remember old versions of space burgers (and from what I see, SB from CIU replaces the old models).
I thought of keeping them (or preferably changing the texture a bit) and adding road signs (erm… space signs?) with a note about the future renovation of the fast food place. (they would appear when the chapter was completed).

For those who don't see the note.

CI2: Soon! Fast food will start a general renovation!
CI3: Soon! Fast food will start even more renovations!!

I’m not sure if CI2 will actually be added to CIU but I hope so because it’s my favorite part.

Is CIU in general compatible with Windows XP?
Yes i still use this system and my CD drive is dead+my internet is sucks and slow which means i can’t get Windows 7 or 10 to play CIU :frowning:

No, it’s not anymore. Ilfireli last tried some hacks, but don’t know how it ended.

Have any 8GB USB memory stick?
Though if the computer came with Windows XP it may not necessarily handle newer systems well. There was a major change with drivers in Vista.

After playing this and basically analyzing everything (not really), I have a LOT of things to talk about (most of these things may not be bugs because I haven’t played CI3 in about 3 years.)

1- The “As we rejoin our story” text, I think it’s missing three dots (As we rejoin our story… (at least from memory)).

2- In some texts, there are words that are red (only on Christmas, yellow on regular CI3U). Usually, they’re just white. It’s not a bug, nevermind.

3- When the narrator says “And here’s the welcoming committee!”, the big chicken doesn’t come out of the Yolk-Star.

4- In the “Prologue” wave, the music starts playing when it says “Prologue”, while in the original it begins when the “Show em who’s boss!” text appears, speaking of “Show em who’s boss!”, there’s no screen shake and chicken cry sound effect when it appears.

5- This is more of a question, but on Earth, why is Greenland so big?

6- Maybe it’s because of my performance, but you don’t get the “Career medals awarded” bonus after defeating the big chicken.

7- I had power 10 lightning on wave 1, which doesn’t happen in CI3.

8- No coins dropping on wave 5. (RNG I guess)

9- When waves 7, 34, and other similar waves are about 95% completed, there’s a slight delay to the last chickens appearing.

10- The “Unidentified Chicken Object” text should be at the bottom of the screen (wave 10).

11- Whenever the Yolk-Star destroys the UFO, it has the Universe (realistically CI4) player death sound effect, while it originally had the CI3 player death sound effect.

12- Wave names do not have CI3 text animations. (this could be false)

13- Mysterious Ship has 5 lasers, while it originally had 4.

14- Unnecessary safe zones on “The chicken “wave””.

15- Like I said about Mysterious Ship, but for Yolk-Star.

16- Yolk-Star originally had 4 phases instead of 3.

Most of these may be reported before I did, I didn’t read everything.

probably because it’s wave 0, and you shouldn’t be having more medals than you should
