It’s been 4 years since I first played CIU on early-February, 2021 (about a week before Lunar New Year 2021)…
During that time, I played it a lot, especially in 2021-22 period. However, it may has just come to the end. Imagine that if Vietnam bans the VPN connection to the CIU server, what will happen next for CIU in Vietnam, and are there any miracles to revive CIU in Vietnam, just like TikTok’s case in the US in January?
I guess… some people have to play CIU by downloading APK file, which i think this is unconvenient. Unless we have an official link from you, just like BETA version for Android users before each updating.

Tbh I haven’t played CIU for like ages, and when I woke up to see this announement it finally shocks me right after
The new legislation would be hard indeed, as Steam once banned here because of Valve cannot contact with Vietnam’s Tax Department, so it would be a matter of time to convince the court to make the game back
If it does get inevitably restricted
DNS warp is only the best option you can do without sacrificing latency between players and connection stability
I am using DNS warp too
Android users will have to use apk files and VPNs to around this but the same cannot be said to iPhone users
Honestly iA should add a warning screen into this game when the game launches

Some other games as FC Mobile, Roblox, Clash of Clans, PvZ 2,… are having the same situation, even Steam platform. Hopefully it will only be unavailable in VN on App Store or Play Store, that means VPN is gonna shine (or change location on App Store)
Eventually this would mark the re-rise of standalone version users as in the early access phase
Best outcome is we can only play PC versions. No mobile.

Not really, i could be wrong right here you can get the mobile versions by switching your region on either app store or google play. (as for google play you will have to create another google account for different region you did enable on vpn.)
the instructions to ability switch regions right here: Install Japanese apps - Help | Idol Story - Love Live! (ignore the name since it was intended to install the defunct sif2 that was shut down last year also applies with the games they are not available on your region but it will work for this game by switching an regions whatever you want.)
oh, one more thing i am not an vietnam player but rather than an peruvian player where this game is still available in my region.
hope this helps if you really want to play this game again in your region.
