Steam Episodes v.35 BETA

Just on Steam for now (IA website and Android coming shortly, as soon as the games officially release on Steam after the beta).

:warning: Please ensure that your career, scores, keys, etc. are properly upgraded from a previous version (v.25 or even earlier).

Please test out the new multiplayer feature and report any problems here.

Notes:

  • Any mid-mission progress will be lost.

  • Any options will be lost (graphics, sound, controls).

  • It is normal to no longer see :information_source: icons next to high scores attained with previous versions of the game.

Full Changelog here: CIU version 160 (v.25.1.6 section)

say something useful this is not a comment section

anyway

Great!
Will be new update CIeps android play store, soon?

Just test them and yep, they’re correct. I also noticed that the CIU exclusive ships are now purchasable, is it intended?

Also I noticed the xbox beta is still up on Steam, for how long it will stay?

Uh-oh. This is a mistake when back-porting from Xbox. It’s not just the spacecraft, it’s everything that used to be unlocked whenever the game was purchased (i.e., marked with an asterisk).

I’ll fix this.

Until the Xbox beta ends… I’m guessing within the next month.

I heard that there’s a new multiplayer feature on the episodes games

But will be update android Google play store?

No. Multiplayer requires Steam networking. Not even IA builds will have it.

Can’t it be done like CIU instead of being Steam based only?

No. That would require me maintaining a separate multiplayer server. And it would have the same NAT limitations as CIU. And multiplayer matches between Steam and non-Steam would not be possible anyway.

Fixed in v.35.2 :sports_medal: Bug

Now the fix works properly but as this isn’t xbox, can the limit of the players in multiplayer be increased like CIU?

Ah OK!

There’s a small issue with the Friends only session’s and possibly Private too

  1. They Dont Appear in the Multiplayer List (not sure if they’re supposed to) [this is Only for Friends only]
  2. Invites just put you into the main menu instead of making you join the session (the join game button from a steam friend does the same exact thing)

If you’re gonna award medal then please Award it to _apocalypse_queen since they helped found the issue

(also that was on CI2 if that matters)

in graphics tab, the V-Sync checkbox still visible and checked (but unable to interact) although the Fullscreen mode is no longer available.
I was wondering if this is a bug, or it’s just there for future implements.

Uh, ok? How often is that actually used, however?

Changed in v.35.3 :sports_medal: Idea

Weirdly enough, friends-only game are not listed by Steam. But I’ll work around this.

@MafiaPlay2 Please test out multiplayer again.

It pretty rarely happens by itself, unless someone has already set up a party

I was casually playing CI2 and after getting it on my PC, my name was “Player” for example, and when I finished my run, I realized that I left it to “Player”, so I renamed it to “ImmortalXX0XX”, the problem here is that it doesn’t apply to the Hall of Fame even though it is the same user

This is what I have found:

We’re literally the same user with the same progress, shouldn’t the new name apply to the Hall of Fame (in case that same user did a run)?

@InterAction_studios Is this some sort of bug?
