Hmm… we’re open to the possibility of re-introducing some form of in-mission multiplayer. But it’s not straightforward and definitely not something that we can address within the first year of release

Guys, multiplayer is huge undertaking. I mean HUGE. It can’t work on the current peer-to-peer model (up to CI5), so we’ll have to host servers so you can play on them. Apart from the technical issues, these servers won’t come for free. The game currently isn’t even making any money, so let’s get that sorted out first

No. It will still be free, but there will be ads and option to buy some kind of premium for 5$ which will allow you to share your progress between devices and remove those ads.

Yes, exactly. Every platform that has ads will use them and the game itself will be free. I think that PC will also be free, but not Steam version.
