CIU version 155

Ah, right. I do indeed see that, up to v.154, asteroids bounced 9 times. Now there is no limit.

I find it odd that it’s not listed in the changelog, but I’d guess this change was made to make it more similar to the original CI2 episode.

When it came to Venus and beyond, I stopped shooting them because they were very dense, letting them despawn. This is despite the fact I was using a BX9 and playing with SSH.

I understand making this change to have full parity.

hmm, what are the conditions of a wave to have “Clean Sweep” bonus? I’ve seen that many waves having barriers don’t even have the bonus one

(correct me if i’m wrong).

and also how does the game calculate the value of the bonus

like, what we have here is ‘The Bouquet’ wave.

and this is its bonus’s value

here is another one, this is ‘Barriers to Success’ wave
(many barriers)

and it doesnt have the “Clean Sweep” bonus (note that i cleaned all the barriers)

(have to delete the old post because an error occurred while saving its edit)

Bomb barriers count as an enemy (you can chain multi kill along them and chickens)

While playing one of my ko matches there was a chicken with a coin texture, after disconnecting and repeating the wave I noticed that the chicken no longer has the coin texture.
I wonder if it should be repeatable in competitive missions?
Also I’ve encountered this situation a while ago so I’m not sure if it’s fixed or not.

Sorry, I should have also mentioned the most important condition: Only waves in which enemies can escape can have a Clean Sweep bonus.

This creates a complication, because at some point I decided that destructible barriers that automatically vanish at the end of the wave also count as “enemies escaping”. Since then, I have not gone back and applied the same rule consistently in all older waves.

In retrospect I see that this is confusing, and Clean Sweep should be removed from waves that actual enemies can’t escape, but only barriers can.

I have removed it from Bouquet and Tree Of Life. Let me know if you notice any other waves.

Changed in v.156 :medal_sports: Idea

This is repeatable in competitive missions, but only for enemies originally present in the wave. If e.g. a chicken spawns from a UFO, then the gold coin is not generally repeatable.

Do you remember what “kind” of chicken carried the gold coins in your case?

ah, shout out to ‘boc dau gaming’ cause he found it in that wave, not me.

In wave “Go Kart” i think its called… do barriers count for clean sweep or only chickens because i think i killed all chickens but i still didnt get clean sweep

Can share medal. What’s the forum name?

Clean Sweep is enabled on that wave because drivers can indeed escape. And to get it you also need to destroy all barriers, yes.

Really hard on daily weapon training if it appears in beginning (1-3 wave)

The wave was The Yolk Star™ and the chicken was a coward, one of the chasing ones.

Well actually not really. If you killed all enemies and destroyed all barriers that are onscreen before the wave ends you can also get it. This also works with other waves like Binary Scream & Symphony No. 1 in C major.

too late reply

Ok, so this is a dynamically-spawned enemy (during the course of the wave), so it can’t be repeatable.

Ah, ok. So if any destructible barriers escape it’s still ok, but if any destructible barriers vanish, then they block Clean Sweep.

Looking at the code this is clearly an intended design choice… but I’m no longer sure why I chose it that way.

I wonder if it’s possible to increase enemy speed at The Trampoline & The Aquarium waves but only in their low/minimum difficulty?
I know The Aquarium will have speed increase in v.156 but I’m not sure if the slowness problem will be solved in low difficulties since the change only takes effect at high difficulties.
The Trampoline enemy speed is decent at high difficulties but is slow at its minimum one.

Eye of Sauron wave: why are there even anomalies? The wave can be cleared without using them.

Tic-Tac-Toe wave: can there be a 2nd X from 100% difficulty and above? When running around the player at the beginning of the wave its movement will be the opposite of the 1st X movement but that’s only while running, movement should be randomized afterwards.

The Seesaw wave: wonder if movement speed can increase because sometimes it takes too long to clear a path.

Pong wave: can pong balls be increased to 6? So the wave doesn’t end quick.

Can more enemies appear in Bubble Trouble & The Aquarium waves such as Elites, Saucers & Minibosses?

For the clean sweep situation: Chicken Fortification wave also has clean sweep bonus even though enemies & container can’t escape.

About the background flashing bug: I noticed 2 other things. If I not set my quality to max in Borderless mode flashing/glowing doesn’t happen and if I also disabled Bilinear Filter it doesn’t happen, but disabling it has side effects such as making backgrounds lag while scrolling at wave 1.

I think it has something to do with Bilinear Filter.
