CIU version 155 BETA

That was the question I was going to ask him. But I thought he was lacking in thinking about the train head, so I asked him to think for himself and answer me to see if what I said was reasonable or not.

Wave Water Fountain: Could they fall into the hole below instead of falling in different locations?

47 WAVES???

These waves are even more creative and fun than the previous ones! Big props to the peeps who came up with most of these wave ideas, and a massive thank you to iA for all the hours of work he’s put into this wonderful game, this is by far the biggest wave update in the game’s history.

Now with that out of the way, here’s a documentation of all the new Waves that have been added -
similarly in the style of my last post during the last wave update, -
all in this one post, I’m going to be giving my thoughts on each one of them, and suggest possible tweaks for the ones that still require some ironing.

Since this is quite the large post, I’ve hid most of it under this little arrow down at the bottom, to help reduce scrolling.
Documentation

So, The Loom.

This wave is very interesting, it tripped me the cluck out the first time I saw it, you really have to be on your feet at all times during it to weave in and out between the electric fences.

I don’t have many problems with it, except when you pair slobs/cowards or any other ‘‘Random BS go’’ units with the wave, then it can be especially a tight squeeze, even more so if you use a BX.

It’s the Pollo Bombardino, what a sight to behold.

Not much to say about this wave, relatively easy, I do have to talk about the design of the Bomber Plane, it looks really cool, I also like the two barriers in front acting as the Propeller and them creating the illusion of spinning due to their fast movement, very crisp. :+1:

Balls. Yeah just Balls.

This wave is fun, I love the hands, those are cute. You really don’t wanna stay anywhere in the middle of the screen during this wave, otherwise you’ll be Juggled out of existence.

This wave is satisfying to watch, the Chickens slowly get sucked into the Dustbin of the Vacuum Cleaner, if you don’t manage to kill the Chickens while they’re getting vacuumed, the Dustbin will open once all the Chickens are inside it.

Another fun wave, not sure if it would be possible to have the Equalizer sync to the beat of the song currently playing, but that’d be neat, other than that, this wave is not hard.

This wave could honestly benefit from moving a tad bit slower, the Chickens currently come out of the Hose pretty quickly, and in harder difficulties I was struggling quite a bit to kill them all before they’d leave the screen, even with a decently powerful weapon.

This wave is satisfying to play with Absolver Beam, just allign yourself with the Anomaly Zone, and wipe 'em out, the Chickens move pretty slow here, so you shouldn’t struggle with it.

This wave mixes Chickens with Bubbles, the movement is mesmerizing, this is another pretty simple wave.

The Seesaw wave features two Seesaws moving one after the other, they move pretty slowly though, so perhaps lowering the time between swings would help the wave flow better.

The speed at which the Seesaws swing up and down could be toned down a bit more, since I was finding it hard to switch from one side to another completely, since it looked like one end of the Seesaw was going to smack into me.

This wave is alright, nice and simple, the head of the worm is destructible, then you can obliterate the rest of it using the barrier bomb at the tail.

This wave is super cool, I like the idea here, but perhaps mixing Chickens with Bubbles instead of Asteroids would work better, since it’s a water fountain after all, but we could also just go ahead and say the water froze on top of the asteroids. :smirk:

What a beautiful butterfly, sucks that we have to destroy it… Oh well they don’t live very long anyway.

This wave is inspired by Pong, clearly.

The safest spots you can take are near the Paddles to the side, I wouldn’t recommend staying in the middle.

Another Another simple wave,

A bunch of ball barriers are linked together by some electric fences, with Chicks surrounding the barriers, be careful to not get cornered by them.

Chickens will continuously spawn from the Spawners surrounding you as you kill the previously spawned Chickens. You can cheese this wave with Absolver Beam if you squeeze out from between the Spawners.

This wave is pretty Yummers, but it will definitely have you breaking a sweat.
The Ice Cream scoops fall down really fast, and they don’t even fall down straight, they weave left and right before landing on the cone, the speed of the scoops definitely needs to be lowered.

This wave consists of a couple of fish emerging from the bottom of the screen, and doing a flip,
each fish has a bomb inside its core, helping with destruction.

Another wave that combines Chickens with Bubbles, this wave functions similarly to Bubble Bath, however this time the Chickens are outside the bubbles.

Oh boy, a Star Wars reference!

Yeah this is quite the Epic battle, better watch out for the double-bladed spinning swords, as you can very easily be backed into a corner and sliced up.

One problem can arise in this wave, some of the enemies stay at the bottom of the screen, however they won’t stay there forever, they will start to come up slowly when they hit a screen border, but it’s still annoying when it occurs.

This wave looks so awesome, I love the little Hen House.

A bunch of eggs will quickly spawn from the spawner inside the Hen House, they are also guarded by two Chick Gatling Guns, Honestly I’d rather there be anomalies in this wave, than your ship slowly changing direction of flight.

The way the Chickens move here is really smooth, like with a Mexican wave IRL.

I like the little detail with the football bouncing around, neato.

At first I thought this wave would consist of Chickens in the form of a Firework Rocket, but honestly them being inside Bubbles which then pop works well too.

Makes for quite the show. :sparkler:

Quite the silly wave, the Go-Karts look really cute with the Chickens inside, I like the detail where the faster cars’ front wheels rise due to the weight of the car being pushed back.

The Chickens can sometimes switch tracks and move down or up, they can also come from either the front or behind you, this can be quite a challenging wave.

This wave looks cool as hell, It’s a mix of Fiery asteroids and Chickens, simulating a Volcanic Eruption, there’s also an Alien Container Snucked in there.

This is another cute wave in my book.

This wave has the potential to catch you off-guard, the Chickens will come down fast and bounce around on the trampoline, at first I thought the Trampoline would deform as the chickens bounced on top of it, the way it looks now, it’s kinda rigid.

This wave features a Gashapon Machine which is filled with Chicken Capsules, they will be slowly dispensed from the Machine and once fully out, the Capsule around them will pop and the Chickens will arrange to the sides of the Machine.

Chickens in this wave will emerge from the spawners and fly along a Fibonacci sequence.

Another pretty simple wave, but it’s great visually.

A deadly game of Tic-Tac-Toe!

Chickens will form the grids, and there will be an Indestructible X moving along each grid, which you must avoid similarly to the Exclusion Zone wave.

Yeah… this wave can get pretty hard.

I had found a variation of this wave that had full on Armored Chickens in the middle of the Ovals, didn’t die but you bet I was on the edge of my seat.

This wave could use some Zoom, to make more space in the case of an unfortunate encounter with certain enemies.

So this is a really neat wave, it’s exactly like how I imagined it, a big pot with chickens inside.

3 Bombs will emerge from the sides of the screen to aid with destruction, on lower difficulties this is enough to clear the whole pot from the outside before it turning over, on higher difficulties, they don’t do much.

This wave features Chickens making up the shape of a gift box, how nice of them to celebrate your birthday!

You know, I actually had a different Idea for this wave in mind:

I imagined a big cake made of chickens, and then there could be two numbers on top of the cake, made out of barriers which would be randomized each time like in the waves ‘‘Single Digits’’ and ‘‘What’s the Time?’’ to create a randomized birthday cake each time.

Haha this wave is cute, I like the face, the transitions between the expressions are smooth af,
My favorite one is the angry face.

This wave could have also been called Spinning Croissant, the wave speaks for itself, there’s a Crescent and it spins around you.

The Aquarium features some fish swimming from the side of the screen, I wish there was a mix of tiny to large fish swimming around slowly, and maybe some Kelp made out of barriers for Decor.

The Ski Lift is made of Indestructible barriers which the Cabins move across slowly,
I like the wave design here.

This wave features Spoonfuls of Chickens, coming from either the top or bottom of the screen.

The Spoons jump slightly as they descend/ascend before settling, pretty sweet detail, again nothing too challenging,

The Chickens are having a shower, my guess is it’s a cold one since we’re in space, they must have a strong mindset. :astonished:

This wave mixes Chickens and Bubbles, the Spawner/Shower Head will spawn a mix of both,
The Chickens and Bubbles bounce on the screen borders, perhaps it would be better if the Bubbles didn’t bounce, since they aren’t destructible unlike the Chickens.

A Lord of the Rings reference, sweet!

This wave looks absolutely epic, but as you can see in the screenshot, the nose of my ship is pretty close to the outside of the eye, a little zoom would make this wave a bit easier to navigate.

Not much to say about this wave, I like how the Chickens move along the ‘‘Clocks’’ in the respective direction they came from.

Mamma mia! :pizza:

This wave utilizes the newly added Rotary Gear, which you have to hit in order to rotate the other pizza slices.

The slices themselves will come apart then back together one after the other.

Ferris Wheel is another wave that features the Rotary Gear, love the design choices here.

You have to hit the Rotary Gear in order to reach the other components of the Ferris Wheel.

You and your wordplay iA, this one’s great.

This wave features a Pachinko Machine that has Chickens falling down around the barriers, it can be quite tricky to hit them with an Auto-lock weapon while they’re inside the machine, but crowd control weapons will do a good job at killing the Chickens before they fall off screen.

Well this is something I was not expecting.

This wave features Teleporting Chickens, which will only Teleport in places where ball barriers are present.
Needless to say, the way the Chickens look when they Teleport is pretty jarring, since it’s instantaneous, perhaps some kind of Warping effect could be applied to the Teleporting Chickens.

(This could also be a mechanic for an entirely new enemy :eyes:)

Brace for the Freight Train.

This wave is very nicely designed, I love the look of the Train itself, and the spinning wheels are a nice touch.

I do love me some Pancakes.

What I don’t love however is how the Pans themselves appear instantly in the frame, which caused me to die a couple times, (but I guess I do kind of deserve it for being naughty and ignoring the safe zones, which there’s 3 of.) They should have a smooth entrance of some kind.

The PvZ wave itself, or something like that.

Bowling Alley is pretty simple, you just kill the Chickens that appear on each lane, or in this case… Gutter ball them.

And FINALLY we have the Bar Chart wave.

Y’know, pretty simple aesthetically, just be careful to not get fried by the electric fences turning on and off, this wave is pretty alright, maybe you could have the Chicken charts collapse if you start killing them from the bottom?

Phew, and that’s everything.

Again, thank you to iA for the new content and keeping this game up and running, we all deeply appreciate the work you’ve put into it, and we’re going to keep on sticking around and supporting you for as long as possible.

Go have a rest man, you deserve it. :hugs:

Can’t agree anymore. This update literally has risen up to the top of the Universe once again. Not only having the highest number of added waves, but all of these are also the coolest and most creative waves too.

InterAction’s hard work and talent are Spectacularly Brilliant!

Can’t believe that in the total of 47 new waves, almost half of them are your ideas. How can you take a long time to edit and post a lot of idea waves like that?

Sorry I don’t understand Beta version only the version game final

w h a t u y a p p i n g a b o u t ?

Don’t care about him

Suggestion for Go Karts:

When the chicken on the kart is killed, barriers will not disappear until no chickens left

As of now it is impossible to seize all of the score, especially comp players

Dont you know karts can be left empty

I think instead of disappear instantly they must fall down like balloon chicken because no chicken drive on it

continue my previous suggestion for new wave:

here are some ideas for “Tic-Tac-Toe” wave:

  • can we have a variant of O-shaped barriers appear?

  • can we have both X and O-shaped barriers at higher difficulty, since it is “Tic-Tac-Toe”?

“Worm” wave: can the chicken appear in the indestructible barrier rings?

I actually had an opposite suggestion of removing the barrier bombs but still keep 3 circles of indestructible barriers even after the “head of the worm” is destroyed. That would let these circles act as a hindrance to player while attacking.

there are worms without head in reality, so yeh i agree :penguin:

I really want to see the moment where someone actually has a birthday and just happens to come across a cake with their exact age on it. That would be crazy! ( °O° )

Spawn o’ clock suggestion: Add indestructible barriers linking the portals. This can be easily cheese’d

So my game crashed when i sent a message in multiplayer session.

They just pressed R, which repeats the wave with different enemies, however doing it in the multiplayer causing everyone to crash except for the host due to R randomizes everyone’s waves, not just the host.

aa makes sense they did that truee

“The Trampoline” wave even every (U.F.O never rotate around these chickens)
