I’m out of the loop, how come there are testing Universe versions of all the previous games now, and what is the point of them?

No, CI4 and CI5 already have them.

The BETA version always has CIU Episodes DLC available to give you the opportunity to find bugs. But the next official version has not been released yet.

The HUD reads the upcoming wave, while the wave name doesn’t (this happens once you finish a wave)


Another thing
Why doesn’t absolver beam instantly kill paratroopers? Even a fully charged beam just removes the umbrella

I was trying to see how easy is it to try to hack currencies and stuff (it was way too easy so y’all know why are there so many hackers)

The last occurrence I know was pretty long time ago. If you got banned for that then the changes you made were never applied on the server side.

You can’t kill “Paratrooper” enemies instantly like Balloon Chicken. I has try with HUD Enemy Health Indicator to check it. First health bar is chicken hold umbrella, second health bar is normal chicken after umbrella removed.

I assume paratroopers’s health bar work exactly the same as ufo chick/chickens, but without deadly remnants somehow falling down into us players while in space.

This is part of a broader effort to make the game better known, and to attract the attention of new players.

In my experience, those “hidden strategies” are mostly exploits of some game mechanic, so it’s better to bring these things out in the open.

In competitions, strategy and skill should be approximately equally important. A strategy on its own should not be sufficient to make an average player magically rise to the top (if that is the case, then it’s almost certainly an exploit, and it will be fixed).

Any kinf of tunelling/VPN will increase your ping, since you are increasing the number of hops.

Those already existed.

There are no special rules on the BETA server – you can get banned exactly the same way as on the live server.

Having said this, I will remove your ban.

Paratroopers are implemented as two separate enemies. The Absolver can’t kill anything that spawns/ejects a new enemy upon death (e.g. eggshells, saucers)
