šŸ“± Android (experimental preview)

I’d like to attempt running it on Android x86 soon (Yes, they have a 64 version, x86 is just the name ig), but for some reason, it won’t work now

I also saw that you can’t type on Multiplayer.

Sometime i can’t take my time to online by PC.

Can you tell me how to do that?

OTG connection. Or a Bluetooth device.

Noted.

It’s probably because your device is 32-bit. 64-bit is required.

Do you have a 64-bit device? I forgot to include this in the requirements.

How exactly do you ā€œexit the gameā€? There’s no ā€œcloseā€ button on the main menu.

I will eventually use a different publisher. But the deal is not finalized yet. Besides, the whole point of this version is rapid iteration, and I can’t do that if I publish through ANY app store.

You can turn off ā€œletterboxā€ to make it stretch

Yes, armv7 is 32-bit and the game requires arm64 (64-bit)

This is a hard problem. I would split the leaderboards into two, except there are people who will play with mouse or external keypad, or through emulation, and I’m not exactly sure if/how to detect these cases. For fairness, right now mobile players play under the same rules as desktop. And yes, it’s harder.

Your settings seem correct. However, your device is currently running at 45fps at this very simple menu, which makes it highly unlikely that it will ever achieve 120fps.

I can’t get crash reports yet. But I’ll eventually look into it.

Right. I don’t know how that would even work yet.

ā€œBackā€ button triggers the exit event.

Noted. It’s unintended, I’ll remove it.

an emulator should work

Suggestion about solving the multiplayer chat: quick messages. You preset a bunch of messages, maybe even using some arguments like player name or firepower level, and then just get some kind of radial menu for quick chatting.

Right. But the problem eventually turned out that it’s a 32-bit device.

Incidentally, given that Google Play will reject apps that include 32-bit support, I don’t see the game ever supporting armv7 (32-bit) smartphones.

not really, since most emulator nowadays run in Android 7,8,9+, really hard to find an old one.

You can add a button. That’s all I got.

Just recorded the flickering closing

CIU Android Flicker - YouTube (better watching it in 720p60fps)

This way of quitting the game was only meant for debug, and will soon be removed.

can the game run natively on x64
just wondering

really

it’s alr 64-bit device

you know App not installed can be due to anything don’t you

And I think you should add a text box which will call out mobile’s keyboard instead of this built-in, because I cannot see the @ symbol
