Wont let me connect my account to the game

so I was reading the other posts about others no able to connect their accounts but I couldn’t find a solution.
every time I try and connect my account it tells me that an account under the email that I created this account with, doesn’t exists, despite it clearly existing.
I also checked maybe the servers were down but that was not the case either.

Because you’re supposed to set your account’s e-mail address through “change e-mail”, and add the account to other devices through “link account”

I don’t have the change email option, so link account
