Weapon idea: Arrow Blaster

This is a weapon i made in a long time ago, so here is the information:
Projectile tiers:
The weapon has 3 tiers depend on their damage:

• Tier 1: deals 100 dmg
• Tier 2: deals 345 dmg
• Tier 3: deals 520 dmg

• All tier projectiles speed are the same speed as Hypergun
• Weapon type: Energy
  Levels:

  1 - 3: Firerate: 0.4s, Overheat: 9s
  5 - 9: Firerate: 0.35s, Overheat: 8.5s
  10 - 20 (10+10): Firerate: 0.3s, Overheat: 8s
  Ability:
• Piercing:

• Every Tier projectiles have the piercing ability and deal the same base damages
• Only pierce though 1 enemy and can not pierce though bosses
  
  -Spreading:
• Only Tier 2 and 3 projectiles are able to spread 2 smaller projectiles upon hit (only work after piercing)
• Can spread if enemy has a bigger hitbox (except Bosses)
  
  

• Spreading projectile:

• Tier 2’s spreading projectile: deal 20% of Tier 2 base dmg
• Tier 3’s spreading projectile: deal 40% of Tier 3 base dmg then spread more 2 Tier 2’s spreading projectiles

I like the spreading idea. This is one of the first weapons I’ve ever seen with this ability. But the firerate is too slow to even deal with.

It’s a chaining neuron gun, so the only discreet weapon to chain.

Yeah idk why, I like the idea.

Also since the other thread got locked for spam, I want to point out that I jumped straight from rookie to SSH (albeit I’ve played a lot of veteran difficulty CI5/4/3). I just did a lot of hard missions as rookie and levelled up, then bought SSH and started on easier missions (so basically I went from doing 70-100 to doing 70-100 at first, then went up to 140 later).
