You see the title of this topic yet? That’s because i’m telling to @InterAction_studios and everyone here about how are many different type of people in a Multiplayer room, and how player feel annoying to some negative parts who join Multiplayer room.
1- Key farming:
Let’s talk about this first, especially is the 7th Anniversary party recent, when iA host the multiplayer room. The main purpose of the Multiplayer mode is connecting everyone to play altogether for entertainment. But some people just join from and spam “Keys, keys, please!” or something like that. Y’all see this, right? Why do they join iA’s multiplayer room for just the keys, not for enjoying with iA and everyone there? I also noticed that some people spam the emoji "
", a lot.
So why is this happened in the Multiplayer mode? Almost people who don’t have enough skill to fly solo a mission will choose this wave. But there are two parts of this:
- The positive part: The positive part of the community will ask other people who can fly solo a mission to open a multiplayer room, and then when the mission is started, they will start to pass the mission together.
- The negative part: According to anything i know, this part will join a random multiplayer room (usually the Boss Rush mission or Double Team, sometime include Squawk Block). And you know what? They just trying to collect keys or food as fast as they can. But the point is: They don’t help other players to pass the mission. They are just keep trying to AFK, or stand in somewhere that are safe, relative to some waves/bosses, and collect keys or food when these are dropped. In the 7th Anniversary party, these people kept trying to spam the chat, so that they want iA to drop more keys for them. But luckily, iA is always easygoing for us, so i think iA is almost no care about it (Is it right, iA?)
So what can i say now? The more players join the rooms, the more damage reduce for each players, and when these negative parts don’t help anything, that’s when people keep trying the pass the missions, but more harder. Keys is also shared for each players, so everyone can collect enough.
Suggestion: How can i supposed to suggest anything to reduce this problem? I don’t know
. I’m afraid that changing anything may cause some people who usually to collect more keys in positive ways will make them more harder. How about you?
2- Spamming chat:
In the current version, players can chat in a Multiplayer room with infinite characters, is it right? I don’t have much things to explain about this because this is belong to their attitude and their action. But you already understand how is this feel annoying to other people, right?
Suggestion: Limit how many characters that allow players to chat in the multiplayer room, same as how did iA make this with the comment of the Favorite mission.
Also, is it possible that the game can know which the the normal characters or the emoji? If the game can, then i think this should be more useful, since limit the number of emoji in a message to 5 is enough (20-30 characters). Did you have any better idea for limiting the number of letters/emoji?
3- Bring the drama to the multiplayer
Uh yeah, I am the one who see this directly, did you remember my post about that?
Simple explaination: Instead of resolving their own problem outside the room, they decide to join a random multiplayer room and argue in there.
I could kicked two of you at that time, but i decided to keep my room to continue the games without any bullsh*t delay. That’s why i captured the screen by my phone. But hey, this is the best optional for you if you see anyone who chat anything in your room that make you and some people feel annoying there, by kicking them out of your room. But the point is: They can rejoin the multiplayer rooms once again, and again.
Suggestion: I will talk about the advanced setting for the host of a multiplayer room, where you can prevent any players for rejoining your room.
4- Special Weapon/Satellite:
Yes, this is the biggest problem that anyone who already know this, and annoying. Don’t mind if they use Dimensional Phase-out or the Damage Amplifier (except Boss Rush and Double Team), but for anyone who keep trying to spam Mines/Clucker Bombs/Missile, that is the biggest problem. @InterAction_studios should understand this, since iA themselves had to disable those weapons in the session 2 of the 7th multiplayer party. Here is what you may cause:
- The waves of the missions is passed too easy that it’s not interesting to play.
- Cause any players who are playing with the weak device to become laggy, even with the low setting.
- Some people can’t see where they are, which they can’t be die for no reason.
5- Conclusion:
We should have an advanced setting for any players who want to host a multiplayer room. This is all i want to suggest to solve 90% problems of the community about the Multiplayer. I used to edit an image about this for a long time, but i don’t know that where or when did i posted it (Maybe i lost it). Here is what you can do to set your room in the advanced setting:
- You can decide which specific items can be brought to your room (Extra Lives, Magnet, DA, Mines, … ). You can also decide which Satellite that are allowed to bring in your room.
- You can decide how much times player can rejoin your room (0–>5 times, in my suggestion). This only effect during a mission, and will be reseted when you start a new mission.
- You can decide which type of Spaceship that be allowed to join your room (it sounds interesting, right :)?)
- You can decide which tier of player can join your room (tier 1–>99, of course) (Is this possible if we use the rank from Quest, too?)
For any items/weapons that “are banned” in your room, you are also be prevented to start your mission if yourself still bring that item/weapon. Example, if you set your room that not allow players to bring Clucker Bombs, you are also be prevented to bring Clucker Bombs, too. To solve that, simply remove Clucker Bombs out of the Config, and the guests can do the same.
For Satellite, you are still able to collect the Satellite that drop in the mission even if the host “ban” it.
Beside that, i also hope iA to limit how many characters that are allowed in a message for Multiplayer, as i said above. I hope you enjoy my feedback about the current Multiplayer, and … yes, my idea, too. Do this for the community, this is what i want to keep the CIU community more clear, not just by kicking the players out of the room. That feels annoying and waste a lot of times to many players in a rooms.
