OK, so last wednesday I was doing a thumbnail for another video in which I played with the lowest (and possibly worst) sensibility that I could manage for a challenge (lowering it via the game and externally for an even lower sensibility). Other than the fact I STRONGLY regret doing such challenge (and I’ll probably regret doing the next one…), I realized how slow, and boring, and tiresome I found myself photoshopping my very own ship. It has always been the most time-draining part of making a ci thumbnail (And always tried to avoid doing it. Although If there are faster ways to crop a certain section of an image, then consider me a big noob in photo editing).
So, to stop taking a long while photoshopping my own spaceship, I decided to (re-)make my own spaceship replica in roblox which I would be able to photoshop easily or straight up pre-make the thumbnail inside the studio…
Before getting in detail about… this… thing… (hopefully it doesn’t get boring for you guys)
Yes! THAT’S THE WHOLE REASON ABOUT WHY I MADE THE REPLICA, and I partially regreted doing it during the making of the latter when easier solutions came into my mind like, well, keep
photoshopping
the ship or even, eeeeven better: GET INTO THE DAMN GAME FILES AND REPLICATE THE SHIP WITH THESE INSTEAD!!!
No, I have no other use for the model (or models - you’ll get why) other than that…at least for now. So, in a pseudo conclusion, is the model… useless? Well, probably yes but maaaybe and just maaaybe not, I mean, I can think of other reasons about why I (re-)made it, like, back in 2021 I actually made an attempt of a Müller which I could have used instead of doing this new replica, but it wasn’t as accurate as it is now and it wasn’t really good for slapping my spaceship’s paintjobs from the game to the model.
I mean look at this comparison between the old model and the new one (with a similar paintjob for easier comparison):
rest of comparison
(ignore the fact that it looks a bit asymetrical, didn’t took good screenshots of the models)
OH, by the way, the whole model was redone from 0, I did not start from the 2021 model (at first I did, but it was a very, veeeeery terrible idea which made me end up scrapping the whole first attempt).
With this new replica I accoplished what I wanted principally, which was being able to paint it as I wanted and make it more similar to the version of the game, although it still has some low points such as:
- The cockpit
- The fuselage
- Other minor details
PaintjobsPainjobs (extra)
Starting with the cockpit, I couldn’t make it look somewhat more pointy and, at the same time, wider with the very basic shapes the studio offers. I tried to make it with similar shapes/meshes, but it turned out badly, so I left it there.
Just now I got an idea to solve this, but would be barely noticeable and is not really worth it.
Oh, and I just like more the way it looks in my version rather than how it looks in the game, personnal preference I guess.
The fuselage was the worst part of the whole making and yet it still has some issues: (a) the engine part of the fuselage that has the wing attachment and (b) the fuselage nose.
(a) For this engine, I accidentally built it in a way that wouldn’t align perfectly with the other engines, resulting in the main engine being a bit more raised than the others. That’s why the back of the spaceship looks weird (If that’s even your case. Personally, it looks better for me…).
The next day I actually redone it, but I didn’t like how it turned out. This is (again) more of a personnal preference, since I also kind of disliked how it looked in the image I used for reference (see below). So I kept the old fuselage.
(b) The spaceship nose is pointy due to the low ammout of vertexes the roblox default sphere mesh has, but this can be fixed easily.
And then we have the other minor details which aren’t that important for the lack of use the model has. Most of them were skipped as I either forgot about them, or I just didn’t like them. I won’t go in detail about these, as there’s a lot of them.
This image should be enough:
forgot to note in the image:
- wing tips details that I forgot to edit
- smoother front wing
As an extra, I’ll talk about the process of panting, which is WAAY to hard, and it actually took me a while to paint my own spaceship (over 2 rough hours). This is mostly because of the way I paint them: instead of using decals or textures and slap them into different parts of the model/replica (which is 100% easier and less time consuming), I manually clone such part, resize it, and then paint it. Although, for other kinds of paintjobs painjobs, I would have to use different shapes/parts/meshes and try to match them with the unpainted part - this is the worst part of painting currently, and all because I wanted to do it this way. No reason behind of course! although I made some edits to the replica even while painting it, that might be why
Now if would even bother to fix these minor details (minor details when it comes to fix them), then I might and just might be able to create
The Perfect Replica
, or at least close to
The Perfect Replica
, but due to the lack of use the replica would get (and of course, laziness), I’ve decided to just let them slide. But, overall, depsite being really far form being flawless, I still quite liked how it turned out.
Also, it’s been a long time since the last time I built something this big in roblox such as the Müller replica and so I forgot that feel of wanting to finnish such model and also try to nail it the best as possible, I mean, it’s like, when you start, it gets really hard to get out of it unless you finally finish it. IMO, it’s a pretty nice feeling, although I should had stopp.. I mean not even start doing it with the very lack of use I’m gonna give to it, but well, I just couldn’t!!!
Also also, I’ve done other similar paintjobs painjobs from my fleet and friends just to see how some of these would look, pictures in the end of the post.
Also also also, I should probably try to print it in a friend’s house and see how would it turn out, and have it as some kind of, I don’t know, a keychain maybe? I’ll see that later.
That’s all about the Müller remake, although around 2022 I’ve also done (and redone) a VF Raven roblox model which you could also use and fly around with! There was no attempt to make it as accurate as it is in the game, since it was supposed to be a more roblox-ly (roblox styled) model.
This one was done in order to improve both my building and scripting skills. Even though I don’t work anymore (in a more serious way) in roblox games nor games in general (I got overly attached to the world of electronics, systems of communication, hardware, software for the hardware I create, etc (+ studying these subjects in college)), I enjoyed doing most of these building practices when I was strongly attached in, well, building stuff lol.
I also remember having planed to make it be able to shoot! But since the time I stopped working on the model, I never ever tried to make it. Don’t know why. Probably forgot about it.
Yesterday I did some minor changes to the functionality of the plane system that were kind of obsolete or that got broken over time, and I made a video about how it looks when piloting and crashing it:
Talking about the video, I actually recorded one showcasing the model back in 2022 (such video no longer exists because of the background music it had that ended up getting me in big trouble), which also reminded me the fact that I maaaay have already talked about it a long time ago (?). I tried to search around my forum profile but never found such post/topic.
So, it’s either gone or I actually never ever talked about it? Whatever, it’s here anyways!
Oh, and here I made a fast comparison with the old model and the remake (Although I also remember that I done a similar comparison a while ago, but it’s probably gone, don’t even remember the reason I made it…):
Here I’ve left the gallery with all the repainted Müllers:

The whole fleet:
Old Müller post: Post your Chicken Invaders artwork! - #2072 by SonicCrazyExe
Old H&C post: Post your Chicken Invaders artwork! - #2102 by SonicCrazyExe
I’ll probably never force myself to redo the H&C, the VF, nor even try to do the bomber or any kind of chicken/enemy as there’s no big or rather important self-demand for them. (as if making the Müller replica had that great self-demand…)
Aaaaand that’s it for the thread.
At first I wanted to post this either in Post your Chicken Invaders artwork! or 🗨 Chatting place - #40470, but after finishing the post (I’m writing this as i’m checking If I missed something…), I thought it ended up being tooooo big to be posted inside an existing thread (in which the post would be quickly buried by time). So I decided to create a new thread instead, which would be easier to find for both you guys and me in case I ever come back with some updates (dunno at this point but you never know!).
Still luckier the fact I got the idea to actually talk about it in the forum while building the Müller replica, since before that I had completely forgot this place even existed xD
Anyways, too much talk on my part and blah blah blah, but how does it look for you guys? Any serious feedback?
