laser scope is the most useful hardpoint, but its kinda ugly, while the strobe lights are pretty if used correctly, but kinda useless.

Already suggested. I can assure you that your computer will not like drawing many sprites quickly for each on-screen ship.

Yeah, that might just cause the galaxy to have dots and color lines everywhere
