So, as a member of Nyan Cat’s Empire, I wanted to share an idea for a wave called Nyan Chick.
The wave would mostly look like this:
It’s based on the Nyan style, but with a small twist to make it feel a bit different and fun. The idea isn’t anything too complex, just something that fits the theme and looks nice in-game.
Heres how it would work:
First, the whole formation would appear from the left side of the screen and move forward until it disappears on the right side.
After that, the Nyan Chicks would come from the right side and move to the left, like this.
(Some of them got killed by the player.)
The formation could also come from bottom to top or top to bottom, but I’m not fully sure about this part yet.
So it could either:
- Only move left → right and right → left,
or - Also include up and down movement.
Another idea is doing it like this:
The wave goes left to right. If some chicks are still alive, they come back from the right side and move left. If there are still some left after that, they disappear and a second set of chicks appears. This can happen up to 3 times.
I’m also not sure about changing the chicks based on difficulty. Like the rainbow trail, I think the trail should always stay rainbow, no matter the difficulty.
