When a chicken dies, it can drop a lot of bones, the bones can be converted to fossil fuel at Gus’s gas for more fuel, and/or can be sold for keys at the same place.
You can either collect bones from Food, or as a normal item falling from a chicken.
(Though, unlike food, bones wouldn’t give you a lot of fuel or keys.)
