All of the Menestheus sector’s standard deployments were officially complete, and I knew my starter craft had reached its absolute limits. I needed a big upgrade if I was going to make it through the rougher, farther regions of the galaxy.
I plotted the coordinates for Phobetor, and hunted up the closest authorised Heroware dealer. So I spent a large pile of credits, argued for an hour with a smug automated sales droid, and finally walked out of the hangar bay the proud owner of a Müller M408 Cuisinier (Legendary tier).
I couldn’t leave any loose ends behind before pushing outward into unknown territories. I warped back to Menestheus in my shiny new legendary ride to tie up a few planetary anomalies and hard-to-reach hidden sectors I’d skipped earlier.
Cruising through the M408 Cuisinier in Menestheus was like bringing a thermal cannon to a feather fight. Wave after wave of regular chickens, armoured units and minor bosses melted beneath my upgraded arsenal. Cleaning up those leftover sectors gave me the resource buffer and confidence boost I needed.
Menestheus is totally, utterly subdued. My long-range scanners are locked on to a hard new itinerary. Herewith I begin a series of campaigns, from Nicippe to Aiakos.
The Henpire forces in these middle sectors are said to be more organised, with heavier vanguard fleets and vicious boss variants. But let them show their worst side. My engines purr, the Cuisinier’s hull gleams in the starlight and my trigger finger tingles.
Next stop, Nicippe. Time to clean house.
Note from Jim: I won’t be able to reply anyone if I was asked for any questions. Any replies as comments is appreciated.
