I have an idea: what if purchased items (for example weapons, satellites, or other equipment) had a limited lifetime?
For example, let’s say you buy an item, and it lasts for 2 years (or any fixed period). Every day, its value decreases by a small percentage until it reaches 0 after the expiration date.
This would make the game more realistic, because players would have to think carefully before buying too many items, and it would also encourage more active playing instead of hoarding.
What do you think about this system? Would it make the game more balanced or just frustrating?
Translation: Instead of trying to keep our existing playerbase with fun things to do, let’s mess everything up by making everything you’ve ever bought break over time.
A lot of the existing CI players have skipped Universe because Extra Lives are like this.
It’s just not a good idea. Period.
