@Sammarald It’s not a matter of realism. It’s more like something new in gameplay. It was fresh take on flying mechanics. You needed to plan your moves with your speed in mind.

Restricted movement quite resemble CI2’s controls. (and there’s also those fast asteroid waves)

Remember that controls changed dramatically on CI3.

If that would be a handicap, then a score boost might be appropriate to compensate it.
