You can find them inside one of those safes. When you collect it, you can use it in case of an emergency when you need to travel to a certain solar system but dont have enough fuel. They give you A LOT of fuel, but they are also rare to find because of that.

But we don’t keep satellites after finishing missions. You only keep keys and food.
Meh, it’s not that necessary. You can just replay missions to buy more fuel.

No its not like a satellite. You use it in between missions, on the screen where you explore, so if you didnt have any keys, you could use it
