How can you update the game to the latest version?

I was attempting to play the game when I received a “Failed: Pther side closed connection”. I checked the server status and the message instructed me to update the game to the latest version when logging in. How exactly do I do that without uninstalling and re-installing the game? (I’d put this topic under “Early Access”, but I can’t. )

You don’t need to reinstall the game. Just download the latest version and install it. Be sure to backup your save file just in case.
