Hello all, I haven’t made a topic like this in a while, so what’s different between this and its predecessors? This one is pretty stacked, with there being more major, much more complex ideas than minor tweaks or changes.
Without further ado, let’s proceed with this 2 hour typing marathon we call “a topic”.
I- Egg Cannon Variant:
This boss is very different than the other Egg Cannon encounters, you’ll see why; the Egg Cannon will be behind chasing you while you’re running away from it.
The question is, how do you destroy it? Just let me finish, I haven’t acknowledged the main part about this boss; you will now dodge obstacles that are in your way that range from robotic/mechanical parts, dead spacecrafts, and occasional chickens.
You right now: What’s the meteor doing there?
Well, it’s how you damage the Egg Cannon (it won’t appear as often as the obstacles), shoot it so you can provoke it to fall onto the Egg Cannon, dealing 11.11% damage (the damage is the same for all difficulties)
The Egg Cannon will rarely attack you, if it does, there’ll be a warning on-screen that it’s about to attack, there won’t be any obstacles during said stage to make it easier for the player. It has a different attack for each phase that it’ll have.
Below 33.33%: A giant egg, there’ll be a small space that you can stay in to dodge the attack:
(There won’t be 2 ships in the actual boss, it’s just an illustration to show you where you can stay to dodge the egg)Between 33.33%(34?) and 66.66%: The red bolts from the original Egg Cannon, its attack values will retain the same as its predecessor (4 subsequent times on 0% difficulty, 7 on 140%)
Between 66.66%(67?) and 100%: The Cannon will start spinning and will try to suck you inside it (i felt uncomfortable typing that), shoot your current weapon to avoid getting sucked.
Some notes:
- The obstacles are invulnerable
- Staying in front of the meteor/asteroid when it falls will not kill you
- Credits to @kAPET for helping me with the attacks
II- Jungle Chicken:
Design: Unestablished
The chicken will come down grabbing onto a vine, throwing explosive rocks at you;
bad design i know
Its main attack will be an egg, but before the egg comes in contact with the surface (there isn’t a surface in space but you know what i mean) two more eggs will come out from behind it, and did I mention that they’re also explosive?
Health: 7000 at 140% difficulty (4500 at 0%)
III- Hypergun Buff:
First of all, a universal 25% damage bonus.
Secondly, as you get kills with the weapon, it’ll start turning black, once it reaches fully black (around 85 kills) it’ll start splashing venomous goo on the enemy’s death location (meaning if you kill an enemy at the top left corner of the screen the goo will be in said location) and on the enemies around it, the goo will cause them to move slower if they come in contact with it and they’ll be unable to attack if they are in the goo. Lasts for 30 seconds.
Some notes (again):
- The goo will disappear at the end of the 30 second timer
- Chickens affected by the goo will still have the defects even if the timer ends
- I’m trying to find a way to activate the buff manually, if you have an idea how, put it below
- As for damage values, just take the existing ones and add 25% to each value
IV: U.C.O.5.: The Unknown Terminator
You after reading the title:
Design:
Arms made by AI
The U.C.O. will have five attacks (a lot i know)
1- shoot lasers that he has.png
2- He(it) will have a metal shield attached to each of his arms, once deployed, he’ll reflect everything you shoot at it (even absolver, and he can’t be damaged by explosions via missiles and icbms)
3- He’ll trap you in a circular space using his arms, and there’ll be guns next to one another, some will be operational, and vice versa (to distinguish the operational ones between the un-operational ones, there’ll be a light next to each gun, if it’s on, it’s operational, and vice versa), you have to dodge the projectiles while you’re in that space (they’ll shoot four at a time for five subsequent times) and bad drawing i know
4- He’ll start throwing chickens at you, but they’ll come back to/at your current position, just like a boomerang.
5- The U.C.O. will detach from his weapons and will start to bounce like the balls from the Brick Breaker wave, if his endeavor of killing you fails the first time, he’ll be much faster the second time. (he won’t get faster after that)
6(?)- After you destroy the U.C.O., the chicken riding it will somehow survive the explosion and come out, and one of two things will happen; (1) he’ll get really mad at you and will try to kill you (he’ll have the same health as a big chicken, the only unique thing he has is uco 1’s red laser) or (2) a part of the destroyed U.C.O. will fall on the chicken which will cause him to die, so it’s basically either a mini-boss or a funni cutscene.
Health: 675k at 140% (375k on 0%)
Some notes:
- During attack 5, if you hit his weapons you won’t die
- There’ll be a warning that the chicken thrown will come back in attack 3, but only once when the difficulty is 100%+
- Credits to @thatchickeneater for helping me with the attacks
V- Updated Foggy Environment/Mission Type:
The fog will cause all the enemies to be just a black silhouette look the same (meaning you can’t distinguish between a slob and a toxic chicken) and their projectiles to be black.
WARNING: It seems the fog can interfere with your heat sink, making you fire at a slower rate randomly every wave.
Affect on VF ships: Can make enemies significantly more distinguishable
VI: Transition Hardpoints:
Cost: 350 keys
Summary: Gives you the ability to transition between different designs, they’ll cycle between each other every few seconds.
Once you have the hardpoint, its customization is almost the same as a regular ship, the “Multiplayer Color” and “Exhaust” options are excluded.
Since each ship family has different customization options/features, the hardpoint will be separated into 4 items, one for each family, while retaining the same price.
Note: You can only have one on a ship
VII- Customizable Mission Hud Option:
There’ll be a new option in your color themes, simply select a color theme, and you’ll see said option at the bottom. It allows you to rearrange parts of your mission HUD, meaning you can have your score on the bottom left and/or your destruction meter on the right instead of the left, you can do anything you want.
VIII: Swift Turning:
This is an auto-use item, it increases the speed of almost everything turn-and-orientation-related, it includes anomaly zones, orientation-specific waves, and waves like Gyroscope Malfunction and Hend Game.
Max limit: 3
That’s all, I totally didn’t spend over 90 minutes typing this, I hope you enjoyed some of these ideas.
