I’m not happy with it either. I just thought that a picture of a spaceship would be too generic for newcomers and I wanted to communicate the “chicken” aspect somehow (without having a chicken in the icon)

If anyone has any ideas, I’d be glad to hear them.

I’m saying I can’t fly a 22 day ago mission while I can fly a 27 day ago mission because the 22 day mission doesn’t appear at Recent section. Is it a bug or not?

Ok, I went through your mission history and I understand now. Although you did in fact fly “Hidden Bobble” 22 days ago, it too was an assignment from a different squadron (“GTASA”). Squadron assignments do not appear in your recents list.

I wonder why they weren’t made to fall down in the direction opposite to the spaceship’s rotation like saucer wrecks

Two reasons:

1. I thought it would make a more unique and interesting mechanic in non-upright waves, because this way they can exit the screen without passing by you. So you would need to strategically delay shooting them until they were far enough inside the screen to give you enough time to kill them completely without them disappearing again. For example, in a horizontal wave, if you shoot a balloon chicken immediately after it enters from the bottom edge of the screen, it will drop back down and you would lose the points.

2. Once you pop all the balloons, it looks a bit weird if its starts spinning to the left or right (or even upwards). The balloons are meant to keep it upright always, so it makes sense that it falls vertically downwards without them.

But if it still seems too weird, it can be changed I guess.

Why balloon chickens don’t throw eggs?

They never attack. Their “threat” is restricting your movement and cornering you if you’re not careful about when you damage them. They can also form a wall, causing you to miss points from other escaping enemies.

What if the Hero was facing an enemy from a 3rd person perspective and you’d be seeing the rear area of the spaceship. The enemy could be something that was added in CIU AND has a distinct enough difference from earlier additions to the CI franchise. instead of being a CI3, CI4 or CI5 addition. So apologies if breeds like the balloon chicken or bosses like the feather brain aren’t in here, but they’re pretty similar to the balloon chicken in Ci3 and the Superchicken in the CI4 Easter Edition respectively.

As for what the enemy will be, I’ll let the community decide with a poll:

I used the Mag to use it as the chicken with the lightning background similar to the old exe icons. And I used Mag because it looks like something from an empire because Henpire.

Time is irrelevant. If you flew it as a result of an assignment, then it won’t appear. You can of course find it using coordinates and fly it independently – that will make it appear in your recents (I think).
