Tail is the lowest one, don’t confuse it with root.
When the AoE is damaging the Yolk-Star™, there is no way to see how much damage it does, except you have to look at the destruction meter, so how about moving the damage indicator a bit down?
I notice that Lightning Fryer damage/beam at level 10 is actually stronger than itself at max fire-power:
