normally, i would just make a few comments of others’ feedbacks and improve my idea

Because they already suck enough on their own.
I don’t think the medals should be removed - keep them for the sake of bragging rights. I’d be entirely in favour of removing their score bonuses though.

His own idea was removing it completely, not reworking. He said he would probably accept a rework if someone wants to do it.

Yup, and I am allowed to have people back me up on this.
My point is, medal would literally encourage not using a main mechanic of the game. And it’s hard to call it “optional” if you’d be forced to go for it when competing.
And yes, either brave or stupid exists, but I never said it should, did I?
