when checking my stats in the squadron i pressed leave by mistake taking myself out of the squadron and have been unable to get back in.i do not know HOW to get back in.

You mean the “Battle Hawks” squadron? That’s not your own squadron.
Once you’ve left, the squadron leader is the only one who can send you an invite to re-join the squadron.
