Actually it wasnt necessary but good idea 
(Satellites disappearing bug)To perform this glitch, equip your satellites, force the ship to crash mid-wave. After that, end the wave so next wave starts and then collect them all back. Now immediately log out. When you log back in, you will find that your satellites have either completely vanished or have been reduced in number.

this is the reason. You collected some satellites before the next wave actually starts (it is after about 2s when you killed the last enemy, or when the “career medals rewarded” message appears below the score), and then you collected the rest. So the ones collected before that time are still remained while the rest ones are disappeared.
