We already know that the game uses per-rendered sprites from 3D models. But…
What if we had such a model in our hands?
How many animations, poses we can create if we had something like this? Introducing…
CI1/2 Chicken Model Remake
It’s just CI1/2 model, I tried to do the original chickens as I thought it was easy, Turns out, It wasn’t… Just look at how many times I edited the beak and thought it’s the final version…

The beak is already complex, even though it’s made with chopped cone, changing the location may change the whole appearance of the face.
However there are already some cons with the model that I can’t fix it based on my skills on Blender yet… And these are:
- Pupils are separate objects and can’t be embed into the eyeballs.
- There’s no animation support
- Some stuff are lacked here because I can’t model them (umbrella from CI2, seasonal clothes)
Now, it’s your turn!
Now you have the base model, you can add/edit anything for the better!
Feel free to add any of the missing stuff!
Part 2: Chicken Invaders 3
As I made the tounge in CI2 chickens, I wanted to experience for who it would fasten my work when making the other episodes chickens. And it did, kinda.
One of the difficult stuff to deal with was the shirts, it had unique lines that replicating was hard to do…
And the second hard thing was of course, the beak…
However making other beaks in future should be easy by just stretching them.
As we made with the first part, you can change stuff on your own.
Part 3: CI4
This one took way longer, but we had a new problems to deal with…
I didn’t add textures to the shirts sadly. as..
- I don’t know where are these textures from.
- The shirt model is more complicated.
- The legs took most of the time.
It’s obvious why it took longer, I had to model the nails + make textures for them…
It would be great for anyone to actually fix these issues, so we make it all community effort, not just a single person working…
