So in CI4 at a certain interval (about every 25% I think) The egg cannon is supposed to be damaged and start its 2nd ,3rd stage etc and drop powerups. This doesn’t happen…

No that is not a bug…It should be an easy mission to have that
I thought this was a bug myself when I was starting out. I’ve come to believe it’s just the fact that it’s an easier mission and the Egg Cannon cycling through its other attacks would just be too difficult for new players.
It’s a bit strange considering the attacks and difficulty of other bosses like Yolk Star being kept even on the trivial missions.
It’s odd looking at it but I guess it’s for the best.
On easier difficulties it may have less phases.
