Boss Idea #5: 🗡️Assassicken Assault!

Wah, we’ve come to the half of ten number already…?
An idea after nearly two months, here’s the design with 3 brief attacks :>

The boss’s health point is about 170,000. Three attacks below is at 100% difficulty, and the order is fixed: 1 → 2 → 3.

1) Spinning Blade throwing

Two round of spinning blades will be thrown.

2) Multiple daggers throwing

Several daggers will be thrown to the players position. There’s always a dagger that aims to the players, while other daggers will throw at random direction. The angular width of this attack is 120°.

3) Sword dashing attack

(It’s should be faster a bit than this).

The boss will pull out its sword and then do a dashing to the players position. This attack makes this boss quite unique a bit, because its movement is nearly dependent on player’s movement, which is quite different from other bosses we know in game.

About the delay between attacks i haven’t decided yet, it may be fast but i don’t know how fast it should be. So what do you think about this boss? :>

Overall a good boss idea. Feels like an upgrade to Military Boss chicken from CI5 (mainly due to attack #2).

I only have objection to design. It feels and looks like Marvel’s Dr. Doom. I said it many times, but I still hold the opinion that I’d like CI games to stop just being parodies of popculture and focus on original stuff.

Thanks for your thought out there!
At first the design was just random, it just come from what i had in my mind as I barely use anything as inspiration (Not to mention i dunno who Dr.Doom is). But if you think that the design has some identical details of other character, you can tell me to remove, fix or add another details that make the boss much more unique :>

You’d have to see it for yourself. You nailed (by chance it seems) many design elements from this character:


Green hoodie, metal face, glowing eyes (but different color), kind of gold/yellow decorations, metal shoes and green coat and clothes.

I think a simple recoloring would be sufficient in this case. Maybe if you want to add something new then night vision goggles may be of use - something used by assassins in Half-Life or by the hero from Splinter Cell.

Alright, i may change the hood to red, or even orange because of is rarity. The glasses i may think about it later but removing the metal mask on its beak can be necessary!

But i was kind of surprised too, like how can I ever make this boss has nearly about 70% of identical details.
