“Mai Odoru Sakura No Senpū”
Hi guys! Today I’ll bring to you a new special boss concept, as I want to try making a truly female boss. Enjoy reading!
First, here’s the design:
The boss’s wearing some kind of festival costume, wielding 2 folding fans, with her comb in the top of the head evolving to a true hair along with a pink bow behind. Her health point is equivalent to most bosses in the game, with the screen will be slightly zoomed out. Here’s the attack at 100% difficulty.
1) Cherry Blossom Tornado
The boss will move to random position in the middle horizontal line of the screen, then create a tornado which will later shoot out 18 chains of cherry blossoms to both left & right sides of the screen (Each side will receive 9 chains). This will always be the 1st attack, and she will always stand at the center of the screen for the 1st time.
2) Flowing Rain
The boss will be flying around the upper half of the screen, while that she will summon a continuous rain of spinning flowers and petals which will last for 15 seconds.
3) Shredding Petals
The boss will fly to a random place near the top, then perform 2 slashes from left → right (or vice versa). These slashes will release 8 rows of 3 petals travelling in straight lines.
4) Twister Fans
Summon 2 spinning foldable fans that will freely fly in the whole screen. While that, the boss will move around the screen.
5) Bursting Flowers
The boss will move around the screen while continuous throwing 1 cherry blossom that will explode into 5 petals. She will throw consecutively 10 cherry blossoms in total (10 times), delay between each throwing time is 0,3 second (The video below describes 1 time).
Note: The attack order will be randomized; the 1st attack will always be the first to be used.
