Hi guys! Today I’ll introduce to you a new boss concept. So this is the design illustration.
This boss is a big mecha-chicken equipped with strong armors, a glowing red orb at the center of the chest and two missile launchers behind the body. Its health is considerably higher than most bosses in the game (280,000 at ~100% difficulty). Moreover, your screen will be slightly zoomed-out in the fight. And here’s the attacks.
1) Missiles Rain
The boss will fire 12 missiles crossing the top of the screen, then going straight down at random
direction.
2) Grenades Splash
Throwing six egg-shaped grenades at random place. These grenades will explode after turning red. Note that both the grenade itself and the splash damage can kill you.
3) Targeting Bullets
The red orb at the center will shoot quickly 9 spinning bullets at player position (This is similar to CI2 Mother-hen Ship’s attack at two last phases).
4) Homing Missiles
The boss will fire two series of missiles, each series has 6 missiles that will chase player for a short time. (That means this attack repeats itself 2 times).
Note: The order of the attacks will be randomized; all attacks always have the chance to be the initial move of the boss (That means it’s not necessary for the “Missile Rain” to always be the first move).
