CIU의 GUI 구조 상 한국어 번역(특히 직역)에 어려움이 있는 부분이 많습니다.
대부분의 경우는 '실제로 완벽하게 동치되지는 않는 번역가의 의역’을 통해 우회적으로 해결합니다만, 네. 이러한 종류의 문제는 그냥 문젯거리를 없애는 방향으로 해결하는 게 맞겠죠.
일단 이 부분은 제가 주 번역가로 참여하기 이전의 오역으로 보입니다만, 맞아요. CIU 한국어 버전에는 아직도 어색하고 의미전달이 잘 안 되는 '잘못된 번역’이 있습니다.
기존까지는 이미 번역된 영역의 상당 부분을, 번역을 계승하는 차원에서 수정하지 않았습니다만, 이런 오역은 누가 봐도 어색한 게 맞죠. 지적 감사합니다.
만약 아니라면, 제가 모든 '번역 가능한 항목’을 한국어로 굳이 전부 번역하는 실수를 저질렀는지도 모릅니다… 어느 쪽이든 주 번역가인 제 책임입니다. 죄송합니다.

또, 스스로도 근 1년간 게임에 접속할 여유가 없었던 점 사과드립니다.
며칠 전에 작성하신 글도 따로 알림을 통해 읽은 게 아니라 우연히 CIU 포럼 사이트를 접속했다가 알게 되었네요… 반성하겠습니다.

CIU’s GUI structure has many troubles translating Korean (especially literal translation).
In most cases, I work around this by resorting to “translator’s interpretations that aren’t exactly equivalent” but yeap, these types of problems should be solved by just leaving it blank.
First, this issue seems to be a mistranslation from before I participated as the lead translator, and I admit that the Korean translation of CIU still contains some “mistranslated phrases” that don’t convey the meaning well and also awkward.
I haven’t revised lots of the previously translated text to maintain the original translation, but these mistranslations are clearly awkward. Thank you for pointing this out.
If not, I might’ve made the mistake of translating every single “translatable word” into Korean… Either way, it’s my fault as the lead translator. My apologies.
As you pointed out, I’ll change the “passed(지남)” part in the beginning of the whole sentence to --EMPTY–.
Also, I apologize for not having had enough time to maintain the translation of CIU nearly a year.
I didn’t receive a notification about your post a few days ago, but I happened to see it while visiting the CIU forum… I’ll make more effort.
