So I’ve stumbled across some of the sharing accounts incidents even if they have already read Terms of Service - Chicken Invaders Universe and as a result they got their accounts lost
This happens due to the lack of security. It is because when you share an account to someone, sometimes they look at the “Accounts” section and they look at your email, then they just change the email that belongs to you to their without any requirements. And BOOM - your account has been lost. As such, you can recover the account, but it takes a long time and you will still be banned for ToS violations anyway
So I come up with this: when changing email, at least add something like PIN code to verify if it is actually you, and will be sent to your email
It can, though. Account losses don’t happen because the process isn’t secure enough. Steam, Discord, Google, everything has several layers of confirmation (in case of Google these layers have managed to lock me out of my own account for a few years until I found extra info to finally log in). Accounts are still being stolen. No amount of extra protection and confirmation is going to stop someone who is willingly sending the account details to a different person.
