I think a “cold-reactor” or “endurance” spaceship could be cool - generates heat much slower, but has no overdrive functionality to compensate.

Or a travel/tourist ship! It would have the most efficient galaxy exploration stats (good fuel efficiency, for example) but have no weapons and therefore be unable to fly missions.

I think a “mini” spaceship with generally rubbish stats but a very very small hitbox might be fun.

Hmmm. I do believe that taking a more gameplay based approach would be better. I think i stated a summary of my thoughts on this post.

Making better spacecraft more powerful

Instead of blanket nerfing it, I’d suggest giving it a special place in the roster. I’d remove fp20, and instead buff lower firepowers so that hcs are more viable than Mullers on short missions, but are outperformed by the latter on longer missions. If you want an analogy, think of Short/Long Gears in Need For Speed, where Short Gears performs better on shorter tracks with tighter turns, but is outperformed by Long Gears on longer tracks. H&C gains more damage faster than the Muller, however it …
