So I’ve been taking a look over “competitive missions” and noticed that Mass Condensers and Speedy Recovery can no longer be used. A good treatment, however, what bothers me is this: 
Why can’t Special Weapons be disabled too? Having them enabled doesn’t really seem reasonable when Speedy Recovery and Mass Condensers actually are. It’s not like anyone would intend to equip Special Weapons once they see this warning, so I believe having them outright disabled would be actually better, while having this warning message removed as it would no longer be necessary if the Special Weapons are going to get disabled.

Actually don’t remove them for this mission. Casual players exist.

Maybe if a wave cannot be cleared within 35 seconds or so then using special weapons like missile/mine bombs is justifiable. I haven’t seen one situation though.

There’s only one wave where it’s technically faster to use a missile/mine and that’s Bubble Rings that has no UFOs nor anything stronger (implying you don’t have plasma, absolver or positron). The difference is really small though as the bombs don’t kill everything immediately
also this was established before the weapons reworks so I dunno if some of the weapon buffs changed this
