Please anyone know how to use the “Equipment perks” correctly??? I currently don’t know how to use it

dont equip anything while playing a mission
Equipment perks will be earn 18%, 12% and 6% key bonus if you use H&C 101, 201 and 301. However, this Equipment perks is disable on Multiplayer mode.

This is a requirement for getting unprepared medal.

Would starting a mission with basic (not upgraded) core components affects the mission score?
Or would using better or worse core components causing any difference in final mission score?
