Hello, fellow recruits!
Honestly, I don’t know how I should describe this, because this is something that I saw in a dream I had recently. Yes, really.
Now, obviously, because this was a dream I’m not gonna remember literally everything that there was, but I am gonna write about all the stuff that I DO remember.
So, to start off, the mission would take place in the warp speed part (like the part in between sectors in missions with the red background). Basically, the player would be fighting chickens while going at light-speed (or whatever speed it actually is). But, one big(?) change would be that the spaceship would ONLY go upwards (or north), even on waves where the player would be going other ways (there’d be a bit of space at the bottom to allow the player to move under the enemies). It might not make sense, but that’s how I saw it. It also kinda looked like the player was gradually slowing down the closer they were to finishing the mission (or that the background they chose was more and more visible).
Another thing that was there was a small change/addition to weapons. Whenever the weapon is shot, it would turn into a kind of fiery, plasma-ish state the moment the player stops shooting and the moment the animation ends (example below). This is the first thing I don’t quite remember, but I would guess that the fire would probably deal damage too.
Rough representation. Laser Cannon and Lightning Fryer were the only weapons that apeared. There weren’t any satellites in the dream, so I don’t know how they would function.
Now this is where things get… weird, I guess.
The difficulty of the mission, instead of increasing or being a constant percentage, actually… decreased. Yeah (at least that’s what I assume). And it didn’t even say to which percentage, it was like “100%-”, only the beginning difficulty was shown and not the ending. The mission’s icon also looked something like this:
It doesn’t look like it would fit, but that is what I saw (as if I could make a better icon myself). The color of the button would be similar to that of the Darkness type missions but a bit lighter.
And I think that’s basically it. I got this dream literally the night before the day I’m writing this post, so I tried to remember as much as I could, hah. But what do you think of this?
