Spaceship questions

Hey, can someone explain to me the difference between ships more clearly? The description on the store screen doesn’t explain much and I can’t find clear answers anywhere.
I don’t understand most of the things under “Features:”, for example one of the bombers has “Quad engines” as a feature, so does it mean it’s faster than Müller M408 Cuisinier which says “Twin engines for improved maneuverability”?
Also, why does everyone say that BX-9 is the best bomber? I think BX-6 is the best because it has “Twin weapons” and I think that a plain 2X damage is much better than more sattelites or “Firepower extender”.

Bombers are slow spacecrafts, you need maneuvering jets to increase their speed. BX-6 is fastest one in all Bombers, has the smallest hitbox but it’s the weakest one at firepower and BX-9 is the opposite.

“Engines” only refers to the amount of exhausts the spaceship has, it has no effect on its speed.

I’ll try to sum up the differences between ship models (without uncommon/rare/legendary ships) here

Two pylons on bombers refers to the fact that they fire two volleys of the same weapon on an H&C/Muller at once. The power level is split between them (for example on :zap: 9 the first pylon fires a :zap: 5 volley and the second one fires a :zap: 4 volley).

and by the way, some of the stats shown in the game like “Mass” and “Maneuverability” have no effect on gameplay

This info really should be in the game given how often it is asked… At least way more detailed than it currently is.

If I had a nickel for everytime someone got confused by the features section of the spacecraft description I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

This is the second time (third if you count the person who commented) I’ve seen someone completely puzzled/deceived/baffled by the “features” flavour text (and understandably, since for example, it directly contradicts reality by claiming that the twin thrusters on the M408 improve manoeuvrability). It should probably be removed and replaced with accurate information as above (yeah, it won’t exactly be written as in-lore, but at least it’ll be accurate to the actual game mechanics).

To be honest, even me, I was confused with the spaceship features since I rely on the actual features in the game. But now I already know the actual features in detailed which is not in the game itself
