Dec 2024 - So there’s something weird that keeps happening on all of the beta rereleases of chicken invaders
So for some reason when i try to play one of the games or export the purchases on one of the games, it takes long to connect but then it gives me “Socket error: SOCKERR_ETIMEDOUT” even though a month ago all of the games were working perfectly fine.
has anyone ever encountered the same problem and is there a way to fix this?
Are you trying to connect to the beta server using standalone beta versions of those episodes?

You’re not able to connect, and not supposed to, of course. Those are stale versions, the current beta server is using a different server branch and only available for newer beta versions (which is only on steam).
It’s because the playtest of the episodes from months ago uses an special server to play it despite this they finally shut down due of 148 update did came out but if you want to play it even more then tune in for the playtest of episode 5 for those ppl purchased the original game in steam.
so what you’re basically saying is that if I want to continue playing, i have to buy the game from steam?
