you know like in doodle jump or whatever it shows other players’ personal best when you reach the height at their high score? uh i think we can benefit from something like that.
The leaderboard shows others’ score at the end of your current wave (I mean the score is taken from the end of the wave, the UI is always active). So you can look and say “damn I need to pass 9,999,999 to get top 1” and the player can make a real effort with this knowledge in mind or ragequit because they can’t get top 1, whatever is fine lol.
I feel like this is right for the game because I watch your competition videos, iA it makes the player feel more like competiting and not just playing the game for the love of it. Like seeing your position in a race or something.
You can turn it off in the Gameplay settings. It only shows for competitive missions, but if you like peer pressure you can enable it for regular missions too. You can’t use it in multiplayer though, obviously.
