It’s serveral months since when IA started the translate system. However, there are some people are trying to ruin the efforts to create the best Vietnamese translation of everyone. They use inappropriate words such as “fuck”, “pussy”, “dick”, etc like those pic below show.
And not enough, someone has insulted Ho Chi Minh, the one who saved Vietnam.
This is a political issue, and @InterAction_studios must have a strong respond to this to improve the trust of others Vietnamese. As a Vietnamese, i can not accept anyone to humilate Ho Chi Minh. However, i have some idea for you:
First, you should reconstruct a new translate system. Right now, many people can interfere other translation, the system need to be changed. For a translation, the owner can create a password. When someone choose the same language, they can type that password to have the access to read and co-op with the owner.
Second, you should have a punishment for someone who destroy someone’s efforts.
A Deathzone can be built.
Now we are talking.I will list every effects a recruit must suffer if they are in Deathzone. Someone who is in Deathzone can not enter any event such as Space Race or Weekly Mission. They can not create squadron or join any squadron too. Every missions on the map are still there, but will be hard-locked to the difficulty of 100%-100%(+40%). Every price you pay now are tenth fold (For example, 10 Extra Lives is 40 keys, when a person is in Deathzone, the price now is 400 keys).
Language punishment.
This will be the funniest thing. You can create a language namely “Ranlanguage” as the punishment for someone violate the translation. This punishment has 2 part. First, every words will be random translated to a different language (For example, “They messed up everything with a smile face” will be translated to “họ ਘਾਲਾ ਮਾਲਾ ਕਰਨਾ všechno ಜೊತೆ bişirî cara”). Second, mess up those words by suffle them (For illustration, “rebuild” will be changed to “dbflidre”).
And ok, that’s all what i want to say. Have a nice day @InterAction_studios , you must do something about this situation.
Because this is a serious issue, I think the only penalty that these users should receive is completely banned from the game (good news, iA has done this before) or from the translations, not funny limited features like you say.
InterAction studios takes this very seriously, but he’s working on multiplayer for a while so he hasn’t checked here often. It would be better if there is a report feature directly in the game.
Password, hard mission punishments and disallowing to participate in other challenges are not needed. IA can make only trusted people able to translate and the new translator will have to ask IA and the team to join, so IA won’t have to monitor the translation every time for any offensive & joke translations. (I’m not who suggested this first)
iA said that the community translation feature can be removed if it gets too out of hand, but I don’t think it is yet because it’s just one language and it’s only a choice, not “favored” by players to be used popularly yet. Maybe put a small tier requirement (like tier 10) or make it CHL exclusive (although that goes against community intention) to prevent players from creating new accounts to make offensive translations to evade bans for their main account.
That would make the whole translation process way slower, and iA would alone have to pick trusted translators out of about 40K CIU recruits. I’d say that banning just the recruits that vandalize the translations and change them back to normal is a better solution. Another suitable, long-term solution would be adding trusted translation moderators/administrators, or something like that.
I still can’t believe that this problem is still a thing. It’s as old as the translation system!
There should be more control over translation or simply only for translations with the mayority of players.

And now it’s even worse. As you can see, someone use translation to humilate Ho Chi Minh, the one who saved Vietnam. Without him, maybe Vietnam is not exited in the first place.
Agreed. This may slow down the translation process, but these kids are everywhere and IA will have to restore and correct them every time. He’s also so busy with other game features and his real life.
We still have enough time for completing the translation and IA adds more content after early access, so new players still have access and this can be happened again.
If he adds moderators for translating, it’s fine. And we should DM him about trusted users in their languages.
They can use VPN easily and this can’t help so much. Many servers and many IP’s.
I think that anti-VPN is possible, but that must take many efforts to code. How about ban SSID ? With that, you can’t use the same network to violate rules
One of the main reasons why people use VPN on games is because they want to access geo-blocked apps which are restricted on their country. Some games are only allowed to be played on certain locations and what a VPN does is trick your location to be located someplace where the game is allowed for you to be able to play it.
VPN could also anonymous your data and improves internet connection by providing a free pathway.
