Post your Chicken Invaders artwork!

omg… Authentic Hero face reveal fr this time

The lore

thx pinanas :)‎

Let’s be honest, what’s your opinion on this wave?

Inquisitorius: The All Spinners

:v:

reminds me of this, it’s done in a similar way

The drawing took two full hours, and I also drew it in 2020, but this is a remake. I’ll post the original image from 2020; I don’t know where it disappeared to, but I hope you like it. I was hoping for this for the fusion.
The original image is mine; I drew it and the idea is mine, so I didn’t steal any ideas.

Spaceship revisions

Well, after about two weeks—and thanks to @Kallum’s “electron microscope” eyes—I set about refining the spaceship remakes. Here are just these two for now; I’ll post the rest of the ships soon.

Of course, the corrections didn’t actually take two weeks. I was just really busy during that time—my computer broke down and stuff like that. In reality, I rebuilt them from scratch instead of just correcting them, and each one took me no more than two hours.

uh its @Callum
Also, not making fun of you here. But you can improve on these parts:

CI3 Ship

Both of these are asymmetrical

Left corner is sharp while the right one isn’t

These parts connecting both are different in length

Both tip and cockpit is not the best, you should use a symmetry tool next time

The left-bottom side on this has a weird shine and both of them have this

Another leftover part at the exhaust

Both ends of wing are different

Anyways great work, there are still some queries on CI4 ship but I will count them as the art style. Here’s a reward for you :cookie:

First attempt at making exported Blender animation:
Bat Chicken Anim
Some stuff I want to comment on making the animation itself:

  • The tongue gets out of in different way as I couldn’t figure out how it’s done yet.
  • The top beak doesn’t go upwards that far as the teeth aren’t set correctly pls don’t look at their top.
The reason why I chose the halloween version is because.. Big Chicken don’t have this skin.
  • If you noticed Freckled chicken always eyebrows but not in the halloween version and so I removed the eyebrows from this version too.

I guess that’s it. I don’t feel like going back to rework some of the old models or even make new ones. I rarely get something that motivates me into making more stuff…

At least the process itself didn’t take much time, only few minutes.

And I had a whole part 2 to do of this waste-covered planetary mission, but 2 years passed. It was supposed to have caves, lava, mountains, remnants of buildings, a hen house 2.0 with ovens attached to tentacles, speakers, miniguns, detachable drone weapons, rockets, shields, spider legs with blades, thrusters/jetpack and more mixed attacks that I forgot.

Haa! It reminds me of the way I animated a few CI GIFs for a simple LED matrix project I did in late 2024! Although I had to do them with an aspect ratio of 27x27 pixels, otherwise the gifs would end up looking blurry and not properly displaying.

(audio is not relevant, so no translation)

streamable expired?

Not the best gif example, because (a) it only has 4 frames, (b) the chicken animation is originally from the CI DOS Fanmade (REF), and (c) this was only a test animation to debug an error. I don’t have in hand footage of the rest of the animations playing on the matrix.

Hardware wise, the only costly stuff was the LEDs (MODEL) and the rest of the circuitry (which probably is 95% of the entire project budget). I used the microcontroller ESP32 for driving the 729 LEDs, but it might have been too overkill.
Software wise, I made the GIFs in a photo editing software and transformed them into code so that the microcontroller would be able to interpret them. The rest of the code is just to play the animations and to be able to switch them with two buttons from the hardware (that are not visible on the video).
As for the rest of the project, the entire frame was made with cardboard pieces and painted them black, and used a large piece of paper for the screen to work as a light diffusser! (which only lasted 3 days before it started to warp itself because of the damn humidity…). Normally, you should go for more appropiate materials for a project like this to have a more plausible result (include a grid to separate the pixels/LEDs better, get a better light diffuser, etc.), but I preferred to keep stuff simple for this occasion.

I presented it at a school from a villa miseria of Buenos Aires, along with some other people with their projects to encourage kids to find a better future for themselves, despite all the economical and social issues they face every day.
They loved the DOS chicken!!! They often would touch the screen and some even mistook it for a duck or a dodo. :duck:

Other than that, I did a few more CI GIFs for this project alone, but I don’t remember if I already posted them before ;vvvvvvvv

Two masterpieces of my design

Look at my drawing! I’ll upload a video soon showing you some of my artwork. Thank you for your support! So I decided to make a comic for the game. The reason I haven’t been editing my hand-drawn art is because I had some serious issues with my PC. Thanks!

Idea of @motaznnnnjcjcn

Thank you, my friend. I’m impressed by your attention to detail. Give me a unique idea to draw. I may have lost my PC, but that doesn’t stop art from spreading. Thank you especially, and to anyone who wants to participate in large projects, I’m grateful for this community.

:heart::heart::heart:Thank you from the bottom of my heart :heart::heart::heart:

Is this a 3D model?

You’re welcome it was nothing.

No, actually, these are two-dimensional.

Sure, whenever you have a problem, I’ll be there for you my friend
