As a tip, you can always sell it and buy a rarer one - that area of the galaxy had pretty good price values when I was there.

Yeah, selling won’t get you a 100% return, ever, but it can help if you know you won’t need what you’re selling when you buy the new thing.
(Although if you only have the one ship, that might be more of a problem.)
